1- Bolts under Access Platform

• On most of assets visited and visually inspected this kind of defect is been noted sugesting
the presence of “Galvanic Corrosion” due to the use of dissimilar metals (Bolts vs. Platform).

2- Threaded bolt connections on pedestal

• This kind of defect is common on every asset visited and visually inspected. The threaded
bolt connection present rust , sugesting that the plugs used don't suficiently prevent moisture
ingress in the cavities, hence allowing corrosion to take place.

• On most of assets visited and visually inspected this kind of defect is been noted sugesting
the presence of “Galvanic Corrosion” due to the use of dissimilar metals (Bolts vs. Platform).

4- Bolted connections on gate hinges

• This kind of defect is common on the assets visited and visually inspected. Defects sugest
Galvanic Corrosion between hinges connection bolts (stainless steel) and platform brackets
(carbon steel).

5- “U” shape Clamps and supporting brackets

• Few assets have shown the presence of corrosion between “U shape” clamps and external

6- “U” shape clamps supporting stainless steel pipes under
Access Platform
• On all assets visited and visually inspected where there's the presence of stainless steel
pipe under the Access Platform, this kind of defect is been noted sugesting the presence of
“Galvanic Corrosion” due to the use of dissimilar metals - “U” clamp(stainless steel) and
supporting brackets(carbon steel)

7- Sealing yellow tape

• This type of defect has been found in a number of assets and in varied locations on the
TP's such as/ ladder rungs, platform edges, posts, kickplates, etc. The tape is designed to

defiated, been a matter of time for corrosion to take place on those areas.

8- Corrosion on Fuel Tank valve
• Its been noted that in some assets the valve from fuel tanks present Galvanic Corrosion
due to dissimilar metals from tank(carbon steel) and valves(stainless steel).

9- Protective coating premature failure on Fuel Tank

• Premature failure of protective coating on tanks, specially at the top is present in a number
of assets visited

10- Galvanized Fuel Tank frame corroding

• Corrosion is present on the galvanized fuel tank frame of few assets visited and visually

11- Galvanic Corrosion on CCTV boxes
• On assets visited and visually inspected where there's CCTV boxes, this kind of defect
been noted sugesting the presence of “Galvanic Corrosion” due to the use of dissimilar
metals.

12- Coat protection damaged due to bolt torquing

• Coat protection has been damaged, sugesting that bolt torquing was carried out before full
curing process completion.

13- Connection between MP/TP with expozed TSZ coating

• Connection between MP/TP connections presents exposed Thermal Zinc (TSZ). Missing
