Hardworking and dedicated BSc Natural Resource Management graduate with significant experience ,
applying knowledge in meteorology and climate change , Soil Science , Plant biology and all related
agriculture field to diagnose all the necessary techniques for Sustainable use of Natural Resources. I am also
equipped with knowledge in completing reports on Policies and Laws governing exploitation and management
of resources. My education and work experiences have offered me with extensive leadership experience, solid
organizational skills, and innovative thinking to advance the development of current and future products.

Natural compound to manage Hypsipyla grandella Infestation with Hypsipyla grandella and
improve the Quality of Mahogany Timber,
The mahogany shoot borer (Hypsipylagrandella) is a major pest of Mahogany in the world. Countries in the
tropical America such as Austral and some part of Asia and Africa are known to be more susceptible to
infestation of this pest on Mahogany species .Over the years ,In 1975 , Lachman report in his thesis, due to the
presence of compounds in the tissues of Toona that are toxic to shootborer larvae in areas around Asia, and
Australia, Canada making them resistant to the shoot borer. Ghana contribute a lot to the wood supply chain in
the world. Last year Ghana exported about 248,658 m3 timber. Topped species that were shipped are teak ceiba,
wawa, denya, mahogany, essa, ceiba, otie, wawabima and ohaa. Mahogany is very valuable to Ghana because it
generate a lot of revenue to the economy and its more preferable species by the indigenous industries in Ghana.
African mahogany have a lot of medicinal benefits. The bark is used to manage malaria, repel and kill
mosquitoes. Mahognay is also used in dyeing and tanning leather However, the quality of this valuable species
