A brief intro about me:

I am recipient of the prestigious Australian Government Scholarship. For those, who think getting a
scholarship in a business field is impossible, please visit this video!

So, let's get started!

Step 1: Research about Australia Awards Sscholarship!

Visit the DFAT’s Link (https://www.dfat.gov.au/people-to-people/australia-awards/australia-awards-

scholarships). Check eligibility criteria, key dates and start preparing for the application.

Key facts:

Scholarship Awardees are required to leave Australia for a minimum of two years after completing
their scholarship.

Australia Awards Scholarships generally cover the following fees and entitlement:
i. full tuition fees
ii. return air travel
iii. establishment allowance
iv. contribution to living expenses
v. an Introductory Academic Program
vi. Overseas Student Health Cover
vii. Initial visa expenses.
The Australian Government does not provide any financial support for the dependents of awardees.
Awardees are responsible, including financially, for their family members who accompany them to
Australia.

Step 2: Prepare your application

Once you have identified the scholarship you are interested in and are eligible for, it's time to prepare
your application. You'll need to provide various documents such as academic transcripts, a CV, a
personal statement, and reference letters.
Key Advice:

Apply for admission in a top-tier (group of 8) Australian university in advance. It’s a good idea to use
an educational consultant such as HR Consultants in Pakistan.

At the time of application, make sure you have provisional acceptance letter from the university.

There is no minimum experience requirement. The main thing is how you articulate your stories to
the goals of DFAT in Pakistan. Just look over their initiatives in Pakistan and try to match your
experience to add further value to their development goals.

If you are applying for a non-research degree (Coursework), make sure you demonstrate leadership
experience in development sector.

If you are applying for a research degree, make sure you have published research papers that you can
share in your application.

Furthermore, the references should be from professors who are working in your proposed field of
study and can vouch for you in detail. It’s great if they have an international degree and have
published good research papers.

Last, you will need to convince them that you have clear future career goals, your degree is relevant
to your goals and how your degree will help you to achieve them. Use a future plan that involves
making positive impact into the development of Pakistan!

Step 4: Submit your application

After preparing your application, it's time to submit it. You can submit your application online
through the official website of the Australian Government scholarship program.

Step 5: Wait for the results

After submitting your application, you'll need to wait for the results. It usually takes several weeks to
months to hear back about the status of your application. Be patient and don't forget to check your
email regularly for updates.

Step 6: Accept the scholarship offer

If your application is successful, congratulations! You'll receive an offer letter from the Australian
Government or the university. Make sure to read the offer letter carefully and accept it within the
given time frame.
Step 7: Plan your trip to Australia

Finally, after accepting the scholarship offer, it's time to plan your trip to Australia. You'll need to
apply for a student visa, book your flights, and arrange your accommodation.

Conclusion:

Getting an Australian Government scholarship is a great opportunity for international students. By

following these steps, you'll be one step closer to achieving your dreams of studying in Australia.
