4. In the panel on the left, locate the lab environment under Enrollments to start.

Explore the Environment

This lab is a continuation of the NetWorker Implementation Lab which covers
NetWorker software installation and configuration for a single data zone. The main
difference between the Implementation and Administration labs is the addition of
the PowerProtect DD Virtual Editions. Explore the servers and applications.

1. From the CONSOLES panel on the left, unlock the console for the NMC host.
The NMC console is used for most operations in the lab. Sign in with the
following credentials:

User name: DellEMC\Administrator

Password: Student1!

2. The desktop contains two text files that are named Network and Passwords.
The Network and Passwords files contain all the DNS names, IP addresses,
and passwords for the environment.

3. Open Firefox from the taskbar icon.

Notice that there are bookmarks for the PowerProtect DD System Managers
(DDVE) and vSphere in the bookmarks toolbar.

Click each DDVE bookmark to confirm that the PowerProtect DD Virtual

Edition systems are running.

Tip: If the page is not loading, it may be because the PowerProtect

DD Virtual Edition system is still starting-up. Wait a few minutes
and then try again.

4. Notice that there is a bookmark for the NetWorker Web UI (NWUI) in the
bookmarks toolbar.

Click the NWUI bookmark and verify that the login page appears. NWUI is the
interface that is used for most operations in the lab. Any operations that web
UI does not support are performed in the NetWorker Management Console
(NMC).

5. If any consoles are not accessible, use the POWER RESET option at the top
of the console.

If resolution is too small, use the tools in the console of the VLP panel to adjust
screen size.

Introduction to On-Demand Lab Environment

Important: If any NetWorker license messages appear in

NetWorker Administrator or NWUI, it is a result of the NetWorker
server NW booting up too soon or the license server LICENSE
booting too late when the lab was started. A reboot of the NW
server clears the message, though this is not required.
