2 Describing operating
Calculation stresses (Ikmax, Ikmin, Du) can be owed to one of 3 sources or to two sources, or even three.
The analysis of these stresses will allow to determinate the data entry method of this configuration in Caneco BT.
Caneco BT allows to connect only two inlets on a BBTS (a normal Inlet and a standby Inlet).
In case calculation stresses depend on several sources, it will be necessary to create a design calculation in three
steps (3 design calculations).
Consequently, the third calculation will be connected to both first ones by impedances.
The diagram will be represented in Caneco by the connection 1 and 2 (see following paragraph).

Multiple supply calculations – Example 1
A third design calculation will be created using two sources "Board by R and X ".
In the first source (normal supply), the board impedances will be copied (DB1).
In the second source (Standby supply), the board impedances will be copied DB2.
The third design calculation is divided in 2 supplies « Board by R and X »
(Normal/Standby).

Multiple supply calculations – Example 1
Let us consider a board circuit feeding two miscellaneous circuits with the power consumptions and
lengths given in the figure below
The two miscellaneous circuits have different powers and lengths so as to analyse the effects of
calculations using ‘Board by R and X’ supplies
Let’s calculate the short-circuits and voltage drop in the miscellaneous circuit:
In design calculation 1
In design calculation 2
In design calculation 3

Multiple supply calculations – Example 1
The most unfavourable minimum short-circuit values are obtained in design calculation 1
The calculation results obtained in design calculation 3 do indeed correspond to the synthesis of the results
that would be obtained in design calculations 1 and 2.
The unfavourable values obtained in either design calculation 1 and 2 are indeed found there.
