Introduction Stage
Product - On May 8,1886,first glass of Coca-Cola was sold
- On 1892,in Atlanta,Georgia,US, Coca-Cola company was
created
- produced based on cocaine from the coca leaf and
caffeine-rich extracts of the kolanut
- used coupons for free drinks to raise interest in the
product
Price - a can of coke costs 5cents
Promotion - used items such as calendars,soda fountain urns,painted
wall signs,napkins,pencils and clocks to advertise
Place - available only in Pemberton,the owner’s pharmacy,to local
soda fountains
Growth Stage
Product - removed cocaine from its formula
- changed into a sweeter taste due to consumer’s
preference upon on its competing product,Pepsi
Price - a can of coke cost $0.25 in 1990 when the
growth stage ended
Promotion - Lillian Nordica, noted opera singer,begins to
endorse Coca-Cola and appears in nationwide
advertising in 1905.
- Coca-Cola's first billboard, "Ritz Boy," promotes
how popular the drink had become.

Promotion - I'd Like to Buy the World a Coke (1971) was
one of the most famous commercials of Coca-
Cola. People all over the world has this song
upon their lips.
- Coca-Cola first announced the "Magic
Summer '90" campaign in March 1990 by
sending MagiCans containing money to
journalists
Place - the soda had entered markets outside
the United States by 1990s.

Product - Coca-Cola, Sprite, Fanta and other sparkling soft
drinks were made. In the series of Coca-
Cola,there are Coca-Cola Classic,Coca-Cola
zero,Coca-Cola Life and Diet Coca-Cola.
Price - $0.76.The average price for all countries is
$0.94 .
Promotion - advertising across multiple channels,including
TV, online ads, sponsorships, etc.
- Coca-Cola’s sponsorships include NASCAR, NBA,
the Olympics, American Idol, etc.
Place - North Korea and Cuba are the only places you
can’t buy Coca-Cola by 2023.

• Market Skimming pricing strategy was used when first
introduced due to its expense
• At present,Competitive pricing is used to meet the
opposition against significant players like Pepsi, items valuing
is set around a similar level of rivalry.
• In an economy like that of Pakistan, consumers tend to
switch towards a low priced product which is why Coca Cola
offers penetration price.
• Promotional Pricing is also offered in some occasions.
