GENERAL DESCRIPTION

The vessel to be built as single deck, single-screw, one diesel engine driven with raked
stem , transom stern and three-bearing balanced rudder. The hull is fully welded. Single
skin and double bottom extends in fish holds and engine room.

The vessel have 2(two) fish holds.

The engine room located aft.

The accommodation located front. The living quarters and public room are
accommodation in front deckhouse.

STEERING AND DECK MACHINERY
1. STEERING GEAR
Steering gear to be electro-hydraulic system, consisting of one (1) set of single rudder)
type steering gear with two (2) hydraulic pump units. One (1) pump unit shall be operated
in normal service navigation and the other shall serve as a stand-by, using both during
maneuvering.
Duty capacity of the steering gear to be about 8 KN-m and approved by Classification
Society subject to rudder area.

3. Hydraulic winch
(1) set of hydraulic type winch with (1) drum and one (1) warping head for each to be
installed on the main deck as shown on the General Arrangement Plan.
The hydraulic power for winches to be supplied from an independent hydraulic power
pack in engine room
The drum to be capable of exerting a rated pull of 55 kN at speed not less than 60 m/min.

4. Gantry
One (1) sets of Gantry to be installed on main deck as shown on the General Arrangement

SHAFTING AND PROPELLER
The shafting of forged steel to consist of one short shaft and one propeller shaft of solid
type for the main engine to be provided.
The short shaft shall be provided with integral coupling flanges at both ends. The
propeller shaft shall be provided with removable coupling flange at fore end. The diameter
shall be finally determined in consideration of the torsional vibration.
The stern tube inside the hull shall be of steel fabricated type while the stern tube between
aft/end of the hull and the stern frame shall be of steel pipe with flanges welded to both
ends mentioned above.
Stern tube bearing to be of cast bronze lined with tin based rubber and lubricated with
water.

COOLING WATER SYSTEM


This system to include the sea water and fresh water needed for the cooling of main
engine, diesel generator and reduction gear box, etc..
Sea water cooling system shall be provided for main engine air cooler、main engine L.O.
cooler、main engine fresh water cooler、Gear L.O. cooler、Aux. engine L.O. cooler and
Aux. engine fresh water cooler. This s.w cooling system to be by s.w. pumps.
F.W cooling system should be included by main engine f.w. cooling system and Aux.
engine f.w.cooling water system. all the above-mentioned system to be independent. To be
composed by water pumps, expansion tanks, cooler and temperature valve.
, And fitting.

FUEL OIL SYSTEM


Fuel system for main engine and aux. engines designed for M.D.O.
The system inclusion filling, storage, transfer, and drain, etc., one diesel pump is to be
standby .
Fuel service system to transfer fuel oil from service tank to engine, diesel engine of
generator set .
Fuel supply of main engine to be firstly charged by fuel oil supply pump from diesel oil
service tank through fuel filter. and then to be injected to main engine by fuel pressure
pump via fineness filter.
The return oil of main engine to enter daily service tank.

The diesel oil of the diesel engine of main generator set to enter diesel engine through oil
filter and globe check valve ,then pump fitted on engine charge the oil from diesel service
tank to engine via fineness filter, and the return oil to be led to the diesel oil inlet of diesel
engine.

ENGINE ROOM VENTILATIONS


Two (2) sets of engine room axial ventilator, (motor driven) two of them to be reversible
type, capacity of each : abt. 6000m3/h

WATER SERVICE SYSTEM


Hydrophore Sea water system shall be used for WC system. And hydrophore fresh water
system for washing and shower.

SWITCHBOARDS
The main switchboard serves for monitoring and protection of the generators and for the
distribution of electrical energy.

The switchboard is located in the engine room and covered by sheet metal and fitted with
hinged doors on the front side.

Air circuit breakers of main generators are of draw-out type.

Circuit breakers of distribution circuits are of plug-in type.
