Recoil and bullet climb from weaponry is based on conservation of momentum. The bullet is fired, a
force pushes back onto the weapon. The operator’s hand acts as the origin, as the gun rotates
around it, causing the barrel to move upwards, losing accuracy. The Kriss Vector has a unique system
to counter recoil, using a counter-weight-system. An analysis of the dynamics was completed.
The velocity of a bullet was approximated at 350.6 m/s, and the bullet mass was 0.015 kg. Using
conservation of momentum, the velocity on the gun (u̇2) (2.7 kg) reaches 1.947 m/s from 0. The time
duration (dT ) was 0.0545 seconds from average recoil duration.

Where m a is the counterweight and m b is the round-holder, the tangential direction follows the rails
and the normal is perpendicular. The counterweight initially doesn’t move, but the round-holder
pushes in the normal direction. This occurs over the same time as the bullet recoil, creating a force,
to counter it simultaneously, stopping wave vibrations in the weapon. That force creates a counter-
torque, reducing bullet climb (according to scuffed calculations) by 0.01 degrees per shot. The Vector
firing 1200 rounds per minute, inaccuracy builds up over time. However, with only 30 rounds per
magazine, in close range accuracy it’s minimally affected.
