CONTENTS -Adjective degrees
- To be (simple present)
ACTIVITIES • Give the students different objects in the classroom
(pencils, books...). Each pupil has to compare his/her object
with a partner's (E.g. My pencil is longer than Juan's).
• Take some of the objects you have given to them and ask
questions related to the differences . (E.g. Lucía has said her
pencil is longer than Juan's. If I give you one as a present,
which one would you choose? Why? Lucia's pencil is blue.
Would you choose it if you wanted to colour an apple?
Why?...) Lead the activity to a point in which the students
can conclude differences are not important and each
person is valuable)
• Form groups of three or four students. Give each group a
worksheet with some questions (Who is the tallest in the
group? Who is the shortest? Who has got the longest hair?
Etcetera) Once they have fulfilled it, share the answers and
write them down on the blackboard. Find out the
"superlative" student in each category. Add more questions
and categories to include all the students in at least one of
them.
• Continue with a further discussion on who is "the best" at
different activities to draw conclusions.
a. Write the key competences you are contributing to and briefly explain in what
way.
