    Boundless Minds is a Kampala-based Education-Mentorship social enterprise, premised on the

    correlation between education and access to employment opportunities and entrepreneurship.

    Uganda’s youth unemployment estimate is between 60% - 80%1. Many young people face a
    difficult transition from school to work and end up in unemployment because of unequal skills
    development.

    The Boundless Minds model is premised on the concept of “Service Learning” for high school
    students/graduates and university students. It involves training, community service
    volunteerism and mentorship – as a pathway to employment, entrepreneurship and social
    justice leadership.

    Our 3-way learning model is experiential and provides a head-start through;

    1. Training – to enhance personal development in areas of official and digital


    communication and expression, leadership and team work and professional
    development;
    2. Placement – with schools (to organize extracurricular activities) and organizations, to
    give the Corp hands-on experience which builds career development aspects like work
    ethic, planning and implementation and financial literacy;
    3. Community Connection – working with mentors and local communities to identify a
    community challenge, find a solution, design an intervention plan, mobilize and
    fundraise for, and implement it.

    Over the next 5 years, we plan to support the


    employability, entrepreneurship and social justice
    growth of up to 10,000 young people through our
    training activities (online and offline) and
    community service placement and mentorship
    initiatives, across Uganda.
