The writing process in this course was amazingly easy to follow compared to my high school
classes where everything was very scattered and not fun to write. This class made it fun to draft
essays and made it very new, which I enjoyed a lot. Honestly, the prompts and especially the
examples of the writings helped so much in this course and were my main ways of writing
essays so easily. I love examples because it gives me an outline on how to do my essay and I
really appreciate that this class helped me by putting those examples in. Since this is my first
college English course, I think that the writing process was easy to handle as I stated before, high
school English classes were never fun, and I always ended up with bad grades in them because of
how much I hated writing. This class, however, made writing fun with the fun prompts we used
in the essays. In my high school English classes, they would make us write an essay on
something that never interested me, so I never really did any, but here we did poster analysis and
essays like that which made English fun for once and made me really enjoy writing for the first
time.
Analysis is one of the most important aspects in writing and can be used in any writing.
For example, you need to analyze your reading or topic before you start an essay. It is necessary
to analyze if you want to draft a good essay. I think the pure lecture given in class made me
realize that analysis was important. Analysis is something that I have known was needed in
writing, but I never really thought about it as particularly important and just wrote about
whatever when it came to drafting essays. The process of going through an essay and using
analysis to really focus on the main point of an essay has been what really helps. For example, in
the first essay, I honestly did not really care much about it, and did it because I needed to. Later
on, in the second and third draft the essay was getting more exciting to write about because I was
really analyzing the handbook I was using, and it made it a whole lot easier when I sat down and
really looked at what I was writing about. This shows that me reading the document and
analyzing it fully helps because then you have the knowledge to draft a good essay instead of a
mediocre one.
Revising is when you look through your essay and make fine tunes on the essay in order
to make the writing better than it was previously. Revising is not an easy nor a challenging thing
to do in an essay. It is not difficult because you would not have to rewrite the whole essay but
semi-difficult because you must refine the essay more to make it cleaner for the final draft. I
would rather revise an essay than rewrite the whole essay again, so I really like revising. The
choices I made when rewriting essays are the feedback that my professor and peers gave me in
the peer review process. I feel like the peer review process was really needed to review the essay
because you get feedback from a person that may not know what you are writing about, and it
really shows the creativity some people have when it comes to writing. Some of the final
revisions I made to the draft were purely on comments left by the professor and or students. All
the comments were helpful and made me a better writer than at the beginning of the semester. I
feel like I have grown so much in the past few months in writing than I have my whole time
being in school.
One of the most challenging parts of revising an essay for the final time was the fact that
I was already with what I thought was a good essay and I had to find the smallest details to fix to
make my essay into one of the best essays I have written. While the easiest challenge I had to
experience was that the fact it was a good essay already means that there was little to fix in the
first place It made me happy that I can visually see how far I have come as a writer just from one
semester of college. Even though it was a good essay that I wrote, there was still quite a bit of
comments left by the teacher and my fellow peers and I really enjoyed the feedback because at
eh end of the day will will make me a better writer and will make the essay ten times better than
it was previously. Im happy how my essays turned out and am glad people can read the essays
and hope people will enjoy reading my essays as much as I enjoyed writing them.
I feel like I just wrote what each of the concepts meant in an amazingly easy to
understand type of way. I wanted to know where children can read it and understand what it
means very easily. I did not want to make my website something only veteran writers can
understand so I made it to where it was pleasing to look at with all the cars and was easy to
navigate through each essay with the specific tabs I used. I like to make wording as easy as
possible for those who do not understand what the big words and difficult meaning words mean.
I try to dumb it down just in case people have a challenging time trying to figure out what some
of the concepts mean because the concepts are not easy to grasp at first, but I feel with a little bit
of practice, the subject in hand can be useful in more than just writing. Even if you are a great
reader and writer, you will find my essays interesting because I put a lot of effort into making
those essays and I can gladly say that the three essays are the best essays I have ever writen in
my life. If you learn all the concepts each, you will not only be a good writer, but also become
better at other skills you may need for the future. On the website I said ¨this essay was to look at
a movie poster and or image and write about everything that is going on in the photo¨. I made it
to where a first time ready and someone who is unexperienced with how to write a visual text
analysis can easily manage how to write one without having much trouble in figuring out what it
means. I think what I wrote was an extremely easy to understand way to write a visual analysis
essay.
The most challenging part of this course was nothing pertaining to it, and it was a me
problem that interfered with it. I think I might have one of the worst time management skills
anyone has ever seen. The third essay was also particularly challenging and was the most
stressed out I have been about an essay ever. I feel like as challenging the third essay was, the
fact that I am an unbelievably inconvenient time manager was the biggest challenge factor since
I did every essay the morning of class. The problems I faced in the writing processes for every
essay were trying to start the essay with a good hook that will catch viewers' attention. I feel like
without a remarkably interesting start, people will look away and not finish the reading as if it
were a remarkably interesting and extraordinarily strong start people would wonder what the
essay is about and be hooked to it. Analyzing essays was one of the harder aspects of the class
because figuring out what to write was not a simple task. Once you really found out what you
were going to write about then I feel like that is when you have exciting potential in the essay.
Finding out what you are going to write feels so amazing and when the ideas just start to flow
out of you it is so amazing and I feel so accomplished that I made it this far with just a semester
if learning how to properly write an essay. The last essay was super hard to find a peer reviewed
journal for and I spend days if not a whole week trying to find one I really wanted to write about,
but there was no time in turning in the essay to I had to just pick a random one and I chose such a
hard essay and it was frustrating writing that whole time. I feel like if I had started had started on
finding one sooner, I would have had a better time authoring the essay than having such a
challenging time because of how bad my time management skills are. That is what I will need to
The least challenging aspect in this course was once I really got into the groove of
drafting an essay, I felt like I could write for a lifetime because of how my fingers are just
flowing in accordance with my brain. Essay 2 was my favorite topic since it was a fun topic to
write about. It was also, in my opinion, the easiest topic to write about and gave me free liberty
to white what I felt I wanted to write about and that’s why I found it so fun. I found out that once
I fully look into an article or plan what I am going to write before I write it was made me
stronger and luckily I found that out during the first essay and was about to use what I learned in
the first and showed it in the second and thirst writings. A strength that I also have when writing
essays is that when I start on an essay I feel like I can write so many words and it feels amazing
when I figure out what to say because I feel so achieved when I write down a lot in such a short
time span. After all, it shows me that I am very creative and have a constant active mind. I think
when it comes to writing, my skills are actually very high compared to many. This does not
mean I do not have improvements to make because then I would be lying to myself because by
all means I am no perfect writer. I feel like if I really practiced writing and made it a skill I can
use to benefit me, it really can benefit me in the long run when I have to do paper work or when I
have to write essays or projects in the future. Still, I feel like my skills as a writer has grown
immensely since the start of the year and I am very happy that even though it has only been one
semester, I can call my self a way better writer than I was thanks to this class. I feel like not only
did this course prepare me, but also showed me how I can really use my potential in writing to
the fullest and I am very excited to see how I am going to do in the future with my writing. In the
future I will know how to analyze an essay easier and it will make my life a whole lot easier.
Though this year was full of ups and downs, this year has been very fun writing wise and
hope that my next semester will be just as fun if not better than the one I just had.
