NOTE: The Census Bureau uses a set of money income thresholds that vary by family
size and composition to determine who is in poverty. If the total income for a family or
unrelated individual falls below the relevant poverty threshold, then the family (and every
individual in it) or unrelated individual is considered in poverty.

Data are based on a sample and are subject to sampling variability. The degree of
uncertainty for an estimate arising from sampling variability is represented through the
use of a margin of error, which may be relatively large for smaller geographies and
population sub-groups. In addition to sampling variability, the ACS estimates are subject
to nonsampling error.
