    INVENTORY (PHIL-IRI) 2023-2024

    Date: October 12, 2023

    1. In consonance to DepEd Order No.22, s. 2023 and as provided in DO 14, s.2018,


    Implementing Guidelines on the Administration of the Revised Philippine Informal
    Reading Inventory (Phil-IRI), the Phil-IRI Group Screening Test (GST) for Filipino
    ( Grades 3 to 6 ) and for English ( Grades 4-6) shall be conducted within the first or
    second month of the SY while the individualized Phil-IRI Assessment shall be
    completed within a month after the GST has been administered. The GST and
    individualized assessment post-test shall be administered at least within a month or
    two before the EOSY.

    2. In connection, the school announces the Administration of Pre-Test Phil-IRI (GST


    and individualized assessment ) both in English and Filipino be conducted this
    October-November. School Phil-IRI results shall be submitted to the school
    coordinators of English and Filipino for consolidation. GST results is due on
    October 26, 2023 and the literacy results is due on or before November 17,
    2023.

    3. The results of the Phil-IRI shall provide feedback data to classrooms teachers as
    their bases for designing and delivering reading intervention for their learners.

    4. Printing of reading materials and assessment tools shall be charged to School


    MOOE/ local funds subject to the usual accounting and auditing guidelines.

    5. Immediate dissemination of the content of this Memorandum is highly desired.
