Verbal and nonverbal communication are two primary means through which humans convey
information, thoughts, and emotions to one another:
1. Public Communication
2. Small Group Communication
3. Intrapersonal Communication
4. Interpersonal Communication

6. Appearance
Note: Both verbal and nonverbal communication are integral to human interaction, and they
often work together to convey a complete message. The effectiveness of communication relies

on the appropriate use of both verbal and nonverbal elements to ensure that the intended message
is understood and interpreted correctly.
This Picture shown above is an example of Facial Expression in which a boy is shown
smiling. Through his Facial Expression of smile we can understand that he’s feeling happy. He
has not told us through any words that he’s feeling happy, but his facial expressions clearly tell
us that he’s smiling cause he’s feeling happy.
This Picture Shown Above is an example of Gestures in which a boy is showing his hand in
such a way that he wants to stop someone or some vehicle etc. Now he has not told us through
any of the words that he wants to stop someone, but his hand gestures are showing this clearly
that he wants to stop someone of some vehicle.

This Picture shown above is an example of Eye Contact. In This Picture, Eye contact is
firmly maintained which shows the sense of interest, consciousness and how much importance
he/she is giving to the conversation.
This Picture shown is an example of Touch. In this picture, a firm handshake shows trust and
conveys confidence. Words are not required all the time to let others understand your talk, body
language and your actions also speak a lot.

The Two Pictures shown above are the examples of Appearance. Your clothing, grooming,
and overall appearance can convey information about your personality, occupation, and social
status. It can also influence how others perceive you. The Boy in the first picture is depicting that
he’s going to a party and in casual wear but the boy in the second picture is depicting/showing
that he’s going for a formal meeting or an interview.

This Picture Shown is an example of Proxemics. This picture shows the bond and the closeness
between the two individuals that they are showing/depicting through their less distance and
closeness between them that they are close friends or brothers without telling through words.
