1. In each of the following, only two of the three triangles are congruent / similar. Write down the

(a) If two triangles are equilateral, the two triangles are similar.

doubled.

(i) Find the length of CE.
(ii) Find ∠𝐵𝐶𝐸.

answer.

6. A kite is a quadrilateral where 2 pairs of adjacent sides are equal.

Now KLMN is a kite. Prove that there is a pair of equal angles inside the kite.

7. The figure shows a triangle PST. Q and R are points on PS and PT respectively such that
∠𝑃𝑆𝑇 = ∠𝑃𝑅𝑄.

(a) Show that Δ𝑃𝑄𝑅 ~ Δ𝑃𝑇𝑆.


(b) Furthermore PQ = 10 cm, QS = 2 cm, PR = 8 cm and ST = 9 cm.
(i) Find the lengths of RT and QR.
(ii) A student claims that Δ𝑆𝑇𝑄 ~ Δ𝑅𝑃𝑄. Do you agree? Explain your answer.
8. It is given that ABCDE ~ FGHIJ. AB : BC : CD : DE = 1 : 2 : 2 : 3 and AB : AE = 2 : 5. The
perimeter of FGHIJ is 73.5 cm.
(a) Find the length of GH.
(b) Find the longest side in the polygon FGHIJ.
