THE MATATAG WAY

Celebrating a momentous accomplishment and testament to the determination one has

fulfilled while being educated in the four corners of the classroom is of the utmost
importance in celebrating the End-of-School-Year rites. This is the moment when
graduates or movers reflect on their journey and the challenges they have overcome.

My dear learners, you have defeated the trials in these difficult and demanding times.
You have struggled your way to reach the zenith and milestone in moving toward another
phase of your life.

The struggles may be tough but the tough gets going. You were all MATATAG in facing
the unknown, you strived hard and burned midnight candles. Now, you are all here. The
community is looking at you, the future of our country.

The Bansang Makabata is our way of emphasizing to you that DepEd is very much
focused, like the eye of an eagle, on ensuring that you will become the cream of the crop.
This ensures that we live up to our promise of providing you with quality, accessible,
relevant, and liberating basic education throughout your stay in your second homes, our
schools.

My dear movers and graduates, may our sacrifices live and grow in the most
unfathomable depths of your hearts, transforming each of you into becoming a Batang
Makabansa.

As you step into the world beyond these walls, may you carry the torch of grit, passion,
dedication, and love for our country. Continue to face the future with unwavering
determination. Continue to nurture your passion for it holds the key to success.

The Home of the Champions will continue to dedicate itself to the pursuit of excellence.
We will never cease to produce true champions as we continue to cultivate the fertile
grounds for them to survive and thrive.

Congratulations!

Dear graduates, completers, and achievers, congratulations on this momentous
occasion!

The year 2023 will forever be remembered as a time when you emerged victorious,
surpassing the setbacks caused by the pandemic. We celebrate your achievements and
commend your determination throughout the challenges you faced in the realm of
education.

We have seen how the Department of Education tirelessly explored avenues to ensure
that every one of you had equal access to education by leveling the playing field. It is our
hope that the unwavering encouragement and support of the SDO Negros Occidental for
your education will continue to strengthen you to realize your dreams, and may these
serve as your armor to fight for your future battles. It is not just in the academic
knowledge and training that you have gained that you will win the war, but also in the
invaluable virtues of resilience and the spirit of a true champion endowed upon you by
your schools.

Our theme for this year's end-of-school-year rites, "K to 12 Graduates: Molded through a
Resilient Educational Foundation," aptly captures the essence of your accomplishments.
You have faced adversity head-on, transforming challenges into stepping stones toward
success.

With confidence in our DepEd Agenda, "MATATAG, Bansang Makabata, Batang

Makabansa," let us advance together with open minds and empathetic hearts. The
education journey may be long and demanding, but its rewards are liberating. Remember
that you have been nurtured and supported by great individuals your parents, families,
teachers, and communities who have shouldered your growth, allowing you to conquer
the odds. As you move forward, be prepared to face escalating trials to test your strength.

Embrace the future with enthusiasm, knowing that you have the skills and resilience to
conquer any obstacles that come your way. May your future be filled with
limitless possibilities and unparalleled success. You are destined to
be champions.

Congratulations!
