Scan To SMB On Kyocera Script
1. Assure copier is connected to your network and that you can print to it from your computer
2. Obtain the IP address by printing a Status Page from the panel of your Copier
3. Using the IP address: open a web browser and type the IP address
a. This will open Kyocera Command Center RX
b. No login or password is needed
4. Click on address book
a. Machine Address book
b. Click on Add
c. Name: Name of person scanning (i.e., Bob)
d. SMB Hostname / Folder Share
• Open file explorer
• Local “C” drive
• Right click – New Folder
• Name it Scans
• Right click Properties
• Sharing
• Share
• Everyone, add
• Everyone (Should be Read / Write)
• Share
• Right click Scans folder
• Send to
• Desktop (create shortcut)
• Right click Scans once more
• Properties
• Copy the network path
e. Back in your browser in the Host Name blank (do not copy the \\ before the path)
• Paste the network path (delete the folder name \Scans, leave only the Network path)
• Paste once more in Username (delete the Network path\, leave only Scans)
f. Type your Login Username and Password (login & password used to login to your PC)
g. Test connection then click Ok
h. **** Scroll to the bottom of the page and SUBMIT****
i. You can set this scan location to a One Touch Key if you like
• Click One Touch
• Click Settings, Address book, Select the address you wish, click Submit then Submit again.
5. You may now go to your copier and scan directly to the “Scans” folder you just created on your PC
