I. INSTRUCTION AND CHECKING THE VERSION


1.1 INSTRUCTION
 MICRO DNC 2 is an equipment used for replace for the old
transfer data by using computer. When using computer to
transfer data to CNC machine, it will have some
disadvantage: the connection will not stability, waste the
acreage. Then MICRO DNC 2 device has improved these
advantage to make the transfer data become more
easier,faster and mor convenient. MICRO DNC 2 have 2
versions :
 Micro DNC 2 ( USB )
 Micro DNC 2 ( WIFI )
Full set is included:
A. MICRO DNC 2 ( USB version )
 MICRO DNC 2 device.
 RS232 cable(DB9-DB25).
 12VDC, 1A power adapter (100-240 VAC input).
B. MICRO DNC 2 ( WIFI version )
 MICRO DNC 2 device.
 RS232 cable (DB9-DB25).
 12VDC, 1A power adapter (100-240 VAC input).
 ESP8266 antena to receive the wifi signal.

1.2 CHECKING VERSION AND WARRANTY DATE
Before using, We need to check the version of device

- Press and hold “ MENU “ button then turn on device


- On the screen will display the version of device on the left bottom
corner, in the image the version of device at present is “8.1.7A”.
- End of warranty date is under the version tag,

1.3 UPDATE FIRMWARE FOR MICRO DNC 2


Step 1:
- Turn off device.
Step 2:

- Press and hold “ ESC “ button and wait for a few seconds
Step 3:

- When the screen display “ Please plugin USB disk “, then


plug the USB disk into device.
Step 4:

- Select the firmware to update, it have 2 firmwares:


“ DNC2BinFileV837B.bin “ And “ ESP8266_BinFile V1.6.bin ”.
Step 5:

- Press “ ENT “ button to confirm then press“ ENT “ button


again to start the update process.

II. FUNCTION
1. MAIN SCREEN

- On the main screen use to move and selec


the function.
2.FUNCTION
2.1 EXPLORER

- User using this function to manage file, program and save


the data on MICRO DNC .

- User can check the properties of the program or format,


copy, paste the program from USB disk to DNC disk,
simulation, DNC transfer.
2.2 DNC TRANSFER

- Using this function to transfer data, program from DNC


device to CNC machine.
2.3 READ FROM CNC

- User using this function to take the program, Parameter of


machine out from CNC machine and save it on DNC device

2.4 CONFIGURATION

- User access to this function to adjust the


parameter, out put port of MICRO DNC 2 device.
2.5 SIMULATOR

- This function will help you to check the shape of workpiece,


toolpath.

2.6 EDIT G-CODE

- User using this function to Edit G-Code Program directly on


MICRO DNC device.
2.7 HELP/INFOR

- When you got any question, access to this function to have


more information of device, also can check the version,
warranty, ip address at present of device.

III. DETAILS FUNCTION


1. EXPLORER

- USE button to access to “ EXPLORER “.

Memory of DNC device (4GB) Memory of USB disk

- Press this button to have more option.

2. DNC TRANSFER

- Steps 1 : Use button to move and press

to select “CONFIGURATION”.

- Step 2: Press to move to RS232 tags

- Step 3 use the button to chose “Baudrate”

Task and select the speed to fit with CNC machine.


Ex: 4800,9600,19200,38400,115200
- After finish, press “ESC” button to exit.

- Step 4: Use button to access to “DNC Transfer”

Function.

- Step 5: Use button to select the program

- Step 6: Press button to change to “Waitting


mode”

- Step 7: Press Start on CNC machine .


Note:
- In some case if user manipulate on CNC machine

And press button on Micro DNC device

And program can’t start to transfer.Because DNC device


was not received (XON) command from CNC machine
In this case we will press button to simulate this

XON command and active “DNC transfer” function.

3. READ FROM CNC

- Step 1: use these button and button

To move and select “ READ FROM CNC” function, when


you access in to this function your DNC device will be
automatically change to “Waitting mode”.

- Step 2: Manipulate on CNC machine to export program


command(Punch Program)
- Step 3: after received program from successful

use to save and create name for program.

Note:
- At this in “ Configuration “
 User : User will place a name for program after
received program from CNC machine
 Auto : After received program from CNC machine,
DNC device will auto save the program with standar
name

4. CONFIGURATION

- Use these button to select

“ Configuration “ .
4.1 COMMON

DESCRIPTION:
- Startup Program: Select the feature that you want to
access when turn on device

- Data in/ Out Port: Select the communication port with


machine.
Ex: RS232, Fanuc6M, Fanuc7M,…
- Sort File : Select the way to arrange files
- Auto ReSend (DNC): Automatically repeat the program
circle when it finish.
- LCD Contrast: To adjust the contrast of LCD (Light/Dark)
- Language: Select the language VietNamese / English
4.2 RS232

DESCRIPTION:
- RS232 delay(ms): adjust the delay time of RS232 port,
standard is 0 (m/s).
- Baudrate: adjust the speed to fit with tool machine.
Ex: 4800,9600,19200,…
- Data Bits: Select the data type is 7 or 8 bit.
- Stop Bits: Select stop bit is 1 or 2 bit.
- Parity: adjust the bit type is odd or even .

4.3 USER TAPE

4.4 READ MODE

DESCRIPTION:
- Read Stop: This feature will decide at the end of the
working received from“ Read from CNC “, it have 2 option
“ GCode%..% “ and “ Time Out “.
o “ GCode%...% “ DNC device will start to take the
program out unti in the program appear “ % “
character, then DNC device will stop and complete
taking program process.
o “ Time Out “ the working program will be read out
totally until the end and complete the taking program
process.
- Read Time Out(0.1s): Adjust the waiting time after
received the data from CNC machine,after the waiting time
if DNC device is not received any data , DNC’ll understand
that the taking program process is completed and save the
program into the memory
Ex: If you setting up the Read Time Out is 10s, then
after DNC device has finished receiving the program and it
will wait for 10s then after 10s if device doesn’t received
any data, DNC device will understand that the taking
program is completed and save the program into the
memory.
- Read name: Select the name type for program after read
out. It have 2 option : USER & AUTO
o USER : Allow user to place a name for program
o AUTO : After received the program from tool machine
it will be automatically save the name of program by
using first 15 character of the program.

4.5 3D

DESCRIPTION:

- IP: IP address of Micro DNC 2.
- Net Mask : Addjust this address same with computer to
transfer data .
- Gate Way : Addjust this address same with computer to
transfer data .
- SSID : Searching for the wifi network.
- Password : Enter the wifi password.
5. SIMULATOR

- Pink : cutting path.


- Yellow : Rapid move path.
- White point : position of tool head, use the arrow to move
and check the cordinate.
6. EDIT
- Open file and select program need fixed, then press “ENT”
button to active the virtual keyboard or you can connect the
keyboard to USB port on DNC device for easier to edit the
program.

IV. WIFI FUNCTION


4.1 CONNECT TO WIFI NETWORK
Step 1:
- Turn on Micro DNC 2 device.
Step 2:

- Use the arrow key to move to “ Configuration “, then press


“ ENT “ button.
Step 3:

- Using “ MENU “ button to move to “ Wifi ” task .

Step 4:

- Setting up the IP address for DNC device by using arrow,Menu
button
EX : 192.168.1.200, 192.168.0.201, …..
Step 5:

- Use arrow button to move to “ SSID ” and press “ ENT “ to find


the Wifi network.

Step 6:

- Move down to “ Password “ to enter the wifi password.


Step 7:

- After finished, press “ ESC “ to restart device and wait for a few
second for DNC device connect with wifi network.

4.2.3 TRANSFER DATA BY USING WIFI

Step 1: Select “ ADD NEW DEVICE “ .

DNC device that you want to connect.

Step 4: Select data, program from your PC, press and hold left
mouse then drag down to memory area of DNC device.

- Select “ Get device status “ to monitoring the working process


of DNC device.
