 Served as Team Leader for the Outclass Team (ART, MUSIC, LIBRARY, P.E.). In previous years, this team had 14 members, which
included the ESL, Reading Specialist, Math Specialist, Science Lab Teacher, Pre-K Educators. Managed team to organize school
programs within each educator’s area of specialty for ten years.
 Member of the Multi-Tiered Support Systems “MTSS” team; writing school-wide student safety and supervision policies for
common areas of the campus. Also known as PBIS, “Positive Behavior Intervention Systems” or Campus Culture Committee.
 Coordinate instruction with interpreter and language facilitators to promote success for deaf children in the art classroom.
 Served as co-sponsor of campus live broadcast announcements “KSWE News.” Work with student anchors and tech operators to
produce live morning announcements to the school.

Peer leader of 50+ elementary art teachers. Organize professional development/Professional Learning Community activities, instruct educators
on district initiatives, act as mentor to novice teachers, work with outside artists and organizations to develop presentations for teacher
professional development, attend Houston Area Art Administrators (HAAS) meetings to collaborate with school district fine arts administration
from Houston area, lead curriculum and lesson writing team composed of fellow elementary art teachers, and maintain online teacher resource
courses. Chairperson of the district’s Houston Livestock Show & Rodeo Art competition and show, featuring 700 works of student art.
