CALL FOR VOLUNTEERS

Suitable applicants are invited for the position listed below.


Position Location
Volunteers Damaturu, Bade, Potiskum,Fika,Geidam, Fune,
Jakusko, Nangere, Nguru, Tarmuwa, Yunusari,
Yusufari, Gujba and Gulani LGA’s of Yobe State

Volunteers

ROLE:
Enumerators who will support data collection across different projects in Yobe
field office across these LGA’s Damaturu, Bade, Potiskum, Fika, Geidam, Fune,
Jakusko, Nangere, Nguru, Tarmuwa, Yunusari, Yusufari, Gujba and Gulani LGA’s
of Yobe State.

Key Tasks and Responsibilities


The Enumerator will be required to:
 To support SCI project assessments across all awards when necessary,
Including FGDs, KII, HH interviews, etc.
 To support baseline, mid-term and end line assessment in projects
location.
 To support data entry activities as the need arises.
 To support data transcription and uphold SCI core values while
discharging their duties.
 To establish good relationship with community members.
 Any other duty as assigned.
General:
 Comply with Save the Children policies and practices with respect to child
protection, code of conduct, health and safety, equal opportunities and other
relevant policies and procedures.

QUALIFICATIONS, EXPERIENCE, AND ATTRIBUTES

 Minimum of SSCE, Diploma in social work / social sciences or equivalent is an


added advantage.
 Previous experience in an organization setting or other local and international
NGOs
 Ability to read and write / communicate in English and local language of the
community.
 Computer knowledge is an added advantage.
 Proven technical skills and intellectual capacity
 Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
 Be able to prioritize tasks.
 Ability to work under pressure, with little or no supervision
 Experience with community development, working with children and schools.
 The ability to think critically and to recommend good solutions to problems.
 Strong Organizational skills.
 Ability to conduct outreach at the community level. solving.
 Commitment to Save the Children’s Child Policy
 Existing Save the Children volunteers from the respective LGA’s are eligible to
apply

Applicant MUST be a resident of the community and LGA and


MUST be an indigene of Yobe State.
The organization
