Introduction

In this topic we learned the importance of recognizing ourselves as people, knowing who we
are because in a certain way it is what allows us to control our emotions or simply do what we
want. We are in a stage called “adolescence” where we often allow ourselves to be influenced
by people and sometimes, we get carried away by what people will say, but each of us has certain
qualities that make up our personality. Over time, we evolve as people through the experiences
we live.
On the other hand, knowing who you are will help you not only in the present but also in the
future because this will allow you to form yourself as a person and in one way or another you
will learn to react wisely, many times we do not put ourselves as a priority but we have to have
a decision own because in life the only person who will get you out of a problem is going to be
you and by knowing yourself you will be able to get out of it faster because we cannot depend
on other people's opinions or people, we must be autonomous that does not mean that you can
do everything alone in a few words. People are your support but initially you are the one who is
going to make the decision. In conclusion, knowing how to have your own unique identity, we
all have qualities, it's just that sometimes we must develop them and learn to recognize them.

Development
Personality refers to the enduring characteristics and behavior that comprise a person’s unique
adjustment to life, including major traits, interests, drives, values, self-concept, abilities, and emotional
patterns.
One study that directly compared a “type” instrument (the MBTI) to a “trait” instrument (the NEO PI)
found that the trait measure was a better predictor of personality disorders. Because of these problems,
personality type theories have fallen out of favor in psychology. Most researchers now believe that it is
impossible to explain the diversity of human personality with a small number of discrete types.
According to Jung, the psyche is an apparatus for adaptation and orientation, and consists of several
different psychic functions. Among these he distinguishes four basic functions:

• sensation—perception by means of immediate apprehension of the visible relationship between

subject and object.
• intuition—perception of processes in the background, unconscious drives and/or motivations of
other people
• thinking function of intellectual cognition; the forming of logical conclusions
• feeling function of subjective estimation, value-oriented thinking

Thinking and feeling functions are rational, while sensation and intuition are nonrational. According to
Jung, rationality consists of figurative thoughts, feelings, or actions with reason a point of view based on
objective value, which is set by practical experience. Nonrationality is not based in reason. Jung notes
that elementary facts are also nonrational, not because they are illogical but because, as thoughts, they
are not judgments.
Type theories suggest that there are a limited number of personality types that are related to biological
influences.

One theory suggests there are four types of personality. They are:

Type A: Perfectionist, impatient, competitive, work-obsessed, achievement-oriented, aggressive,

stressed.
Type B: Low stress, even-tempered, flexible, creative, adaptable to change, patient, tendency to
procrastinate.
Type C: Highly conscientious, perfectionist, struggles to reveal emotions (positive and negative)
Type D: Worrying, sad, irritable, pessimistic, negative self-talk, avoidance of social situations, lack of self-
confidence, fear of rejection, appears gloomy, hopeless.

Personal Relationships: We love the company and support of friends and family, meaningful
connections, and loving relationships.
Achievement and Recognition: We have a love for personal achievement, praise and recognition
for our efforts and achievements.
Hobbies and Interests: We are passionate about creative pursuits, hobbies, sports, and other
activities that bring us joy and satisfaction.

In general, people tend to hate experiences and situations that cause them pain, injustice, or
emotional discomfort. Some of the things that are often hated include.
For example, the simple taste of something, the personality of others, subjects, activities, etc.

Conclusion:
In conclusion, personality is something that distinguishes each person and makes them
different from others, every human being has their own characteristics, tastes, emotions, way
of doing things that shape their experiences and ways of thinking about things.
The functions of thinking and feeling are rational, while sensation and intuition are irrational.
The sensations of the basic personalities being sensation, intuition, thinking and feeling.
It is a factor that influences human beings in everything they do. It is a determinant which
establishes multiple factors that intervene in the behavior of everyone.
All personality theories, in general, state that behavior is consistent over time and situations.
In some respects, measuring personality is very similar to assessing intelligence.
