Directors commentary

We go deeply into Tam's tortured soul in the opening scene.

Her emotional sorrow and the dark mysteries that surround her
old house have been represented by the darkly lighted room.
Our wonderful actor, Tam, performs an amazing job of
capturing Tam's fear and interest as she approaches the old
mirror. Tam's broken world is symbolized by the mirror's
elaborate design and silver frame, which creates an unsettling
imagery. As a filmmaker, I wanted Tam's reflection to gradually
change, reflecting the state of her fading consciousness. Her
interest is a reflection of her refusal to look away from the
darkness inside and the fear in her eyes is a reflection of her
suffering. When Tam's history and present combine at this point
in our Movie, it creates a powerful visual and emotional climax
that leaves us all haunted by the impact of self-reflection.

Tam spirals into an obsessional void in the second scene as

her concentration on the mirror becomes more intense. Her
surroundings start to change, and the surface of the mirror
starts to show frightening apparitions. Tam's mirror is occupied
by ominous figures and mysterious shadows, lulling her deeper
into a nightmare. Her believe on reality breaks when she is
captured by the harsh disclosures in the mirror, sending her on
an awful descent into madness. The visual and emotional
impact of this scene is very important to me as a filmmaker. I
want close-ups of Tam's stuck gaze to show the camera her
interest growing. Subtle, unsettling visual effects should be
used to communicate the room's distortion in order to
emphasise the strange character of her experience. It should
develop tension as shadows and sinister faces are gradually
exposed. Tam's spiral into craziness need to be represented by
her growing terror and despair, with an ominous musical
accompaniment enhancing the mood and producing a really
terrifying and unforgettable cinematic scene.

Laura enters the frightening home in the third scene after being
lured in by rumours about the power of a mysterious mirror.
She finds Tam inside, immersed in craziness. When Laura
looks into the mirror's terrifying depths, she is drawn to it.
There, they both struggle with their worst fears and unwittingly
come face to face with the mirror's evil grip. As the night goes
on, they reach a terrifying climax that sends shivers down their
spines by revealing the mirror's greedy desire for souls. This
dreadful realization sends shivers down their spines. As the
filmmaker, I see this scene as an important turning point in the
narrative, when the environment has to be embedded with a
spooky and unpleasant vibe. Dim lighting should be used
throughout the mansion to emphasize the difference between
light and shadow and evoke a sense of mystery. Tam's
craziness should be conveyed through her chaotic actions and
haunted looks, while Laura's curiosity and courage should be
obvious as she approaches the mirror. The mirror itself need to
cast distorted, nightmare pictures, and spooky lighting and
other visual effects should emphasize strange aspects. With an
emphasis on the characters' emotions and responses as they
encounter the mirror's malevolence, the conclusion ought to
increase tension and fear. Overall, the sequence should be a
visual and emotional masterwork that completely terrifies and
enthrals the viewer.
