SECTION V:
POOL CLEANING
EDGES , WALL & FLOOR CLEANING:
The filtration system provided with your swimming pool wiII remove the vast majority of
foreign matter from your swimming pool water. However, from time to time, some dirt
solids and debris will settle from wall to the bottom of your pool floor and slopes, either
the edges of your pool .This sediment is removed by cleaning with pool brush and
algae brush, the dirts will remove compeletlly on vacuuming proccess

VACCUMING:.
To properly understand the vacuuming process, you should familiarize yourself with the
tools that you will be using:
1. Attach Vac-Head to Telescoping Handle using Quick Connector (if supplied). Be
sure wing nuts are secure.
2. Place Vac-Head, with hose attached, in the shallow end of your pool, resting it
flatly on the bottom.
3. Prime Vac-Hose and filling with your pool water to release the air buble.
4. The Vac-Hose is primed by placing the end with the Vac-Adapter fitting over your
pool return line wall fitting while the filter pump is running. The Vac-Hose will
now fill with water, purging it of all air present.
5. Switch of the pump then open vacuum line ball valve, If you have just a few dirt ,
just left thefilter multiport valve in filter/circulation potition if you have any heavy
amount of dirt you should change the multiport valve handle to waste position, so
you will have the dirt flow to the drainage system directly . Now you can switch on
the filter pump
6. When the Vac-Hose is primed, lift it away from the wall fitting and place your hand
over the opening to prevent water from running out the other end. Carry this hose
end to the vacuum inlet fitting and set the hose adapter to fitting securely
7. Now you can running your vacuum head connectted to telescopic handle and wipe
your floor step by step until all cleaned

VACUUMING TIPS:

1. If your pool is equipped with more than one suction and/or a main drain, you will
gain more suction through the vacuum head by closing the gate valve or ball
valve controlling the other outlets, leaving only the valveto which your vacuum
is connected, completely open.
2. 2. If, during vacuuming, you notice a loss in suction, this may be an indication
that your filter has collected a large amount of dirt during the vacuuming
process, or that your skimmer basket, pump strainer basket, or vac-hose are
clogged. Stop vacuuming. Check and clean various strainer baskets; then,
open all gate valves and/or ball valves and backwash sand filter
3. In the extraordinary circumstance of a very dirty pool, (such as a pool left
uncovered all winter) it will be to your advantage to vacuum to “Waste.”
Connect your vacuum as outlined above. just prior to vacuuming, rotate the
valve handle to the “Waste” position. (if your pool is equipped with the

By doing this, the extraordinary amount of dirt

you will be picking up from your pool floor will by-pass the filter media and go
directly out the waste line. In this cycle you will, of course, be pumping water
out of the pool, however, it will be to your
advantage if the pool is in an extraordinarily dirty condition. During and after
vacuuming to waste,
check pool water and raise to the proper level if necessary.

Note: To maintain maximum suction through the vacuum, it is important

that the pool water level be at the balancing tank chamber noot below
25% volume. A water level below the mouth of foot valve will cause a drastic
loss of suction and possible loss of prime at the pump.

4. Always inspect your vacuum head and handle before each use. A
damaged cleaning tool can result in damage to your pool. Be sure that the
mounting screws on your vac-head brush are to are fulled seated so that their
heads are below the brush surface.
5. Do not store vac-head on brush bristles.
6. Do not drag vac-head over concrete deck or other rough surfaces. This will
cause undue wear and tear on the unit and bristles.
7. Inspect vacuum brush for wear. If required, the brush assembly can be
replaced.
