We slightly raised the the car on the hoist inorder to support it
We then used a torque wrench and box spanner 17mm to loosen the rear end car tire lug nuts
We raised the car to remove the lug nuts from the tire and the tires
We then proceed by raising the car high on the hoist inorder to access the underneath
components and th fuel tank
We started by removing the plastic covers covering the underneath components that were held
by 10mm and 8mm bolts using box spanners 10 and 8 fixed on
We removed the cross bars/reinforcement bars
We removed halfway the exhaust that was held by brackets clipped by 10mm bolts
We then removed the drive shaft
We removed the heat shield that was covering the fuel tank
We the disconnected the parking brake cables
We removed the caliper which was attached to car frame by a 16mm bolt
We also removed the ABS and brake sensors from the caliper which were attached by a 8mm
bolts
We removed the wheel brackets which were attached by plastic clips and bolts to access the
tank fuel line
We slightly lowered the car to support the rear so that we could loosen the bolts holding it to the
car
After removing the rear … and spring, we lowered the car
We opened the back seat to access and disconnect the fuel pump hoses and connectors
We the raised the car and loosened the brackets holding the fuel tank
We brought the fuel tank down and replaced the fuel pump from the old one to new one
Challenges we faced
Some bolts were too hard to access
