Welcome back.
So you have created a website that works great.
So now is the exciting part. Let's take it live. We're going to upload your files to be hosted on get help dot com. So again, you should have had a free account on get up already created. So if you haven't passed a video, go ahead and go to get up dot com and created account before you move on. Come back here. I also want to mention one more things is that I did ask you to change the information to reflect yours and the Western made and the other file. So it's okay to do that. But please do not share your phone number. Any phone numbers unless it's a business phone number or your physical address on this is the business. I mean, personal information, personal phone and address. Never share those on the Internet under website. They obviously don't want ever knew anyone to get a hold off those. Okay, email address. This is a fine. So if you have put in your physical address or physical phone number or any other sensitive personal information, please removed them before we move on. So let's go ahead and make your website life. So before we move on to upload out fire. So just checked one more time to make sure you don't have any unsafe changes in Adam. So when you go up to the taxi, if you see a blue dot like that, that means you have some changes that have not been safe. Eso hit control s we'll take it back. Okay. So once they're all safe, go to Firefox. We're going to open the tap that it's get help if this top does not exist. Just typing this address on any tab. Okay? So now the next thing you need to do is to lock in. So let's go ahead and hit signing. Uh, I'm going to pause just so I can put in my path route. So also, it might ask you to verify a device code that is going to email to you. Um, it is the first time. Probably is going to be the first time you log into the cloud there, Stop here. So you do need to check your only email to get that code to lock into this page. But once you did, this is what you see this is your home page on. Get up. Um, I have some repositories that I already created for other projects. You might not see those if this is your first time on your new, So we're going to create a new repositories for our website for the files. So we're gonna find this repositories and then the screen button new, and we're going to click it. Okay, so then we're going to give it a name. Now, the name has to be exactly like this or this one work at all. So right here you have your user name that you're using him right there. So this has to be in this format, so just copy that user name, and then it's got good hub. Uh, I wanna move over there. You can see it has to be exactly like that, or it won't work because get helped looks for this depository to serve it as the web page, a website. So you have to do it like that. So make sure you do. You usually use the name instead of Paris and call up. So public mixture is Chuck, You don't have to check this, and we just hit. Create depository. Okay, so and then we're going to click on upload, uploading and existing file right there. And we're gonna go down here and click. Choose your files. So, um, we go in this fire dialog, we're going to go to desktop. That will click that and in double quick project. Okay, so we're going to upload these free files. Um, now you can on Lee up profiles to one subdirectory at a time on get help. So you can only do this. So, by the way, it is control. Click on the PC. So control, click all those three and then hit open, Okay? And then once, once they uploaded, had commit changes. And it's processing. Your file now is that now it's in. It's in the word directory after depositary. So we need to upload off style sheet and our images. So there's a sub photos. Let's go create new files. Now, here's the trick. You cannot create an empty sub folder on get up. So we're gonna have the type C s s slash notice. When you type, it just changes on. Then we're going to create a new would be greeted me file in this subdirectory. All right, So once you have told that we're going to scroll down here and hit, commit new file so it's created a dummy file and the sub photo, CSS. Now we can upload our style sheets and go over here on the right side and click upload files. We're gonna go down here and choose your files. We're going to double take our CSS sub folder and increase on Select a master dot CSS could open and again once it's uploaded, it commit changes. And once it's done of loading, it turns it back to the word directory. So let's let let's delete that dummy fire. We create it. It's going to see us s hit on dummy, and we're going to click on this trash can or little been icon to delete it. They were going to commit changes and that fire was gone. So let's go back to the root directory. Let's click on these two dots. We're going to create our images sub photo. So let's hit. Create new files, by the way, If you cannot follow any of these directions, either rewind the video pause or there's also a document. It will be emailed to you that has all these directions that you can. You can delete this and create their own project later if you want. Uh, okay. So this time I'm going to type image images rather and in the snows again, that changes. We're gonna create a dummy. Let's go down. Hit commit meal file. Now we have a subdirectory. So go to upload files and then choose your files. Okay? We're going to go back up to we're gonna go back up one level. So we're gonna go back up to project and then aim ages. We're gonna know these two files so we can just do it. We're going to select them like that and hit open and then had commit changes. Processing. Okay, so now one are step would just have to go back in that images sub photo and delete out dummy files a hit on dummy again, the trash can or the little been icon. And then we'll go down here and say, commit changes. Okay, that's all the files that we need to upload to. Ah repositories. So now let's test our website. So go with you in Firefox. Let's create a new tab Type in. Remember that address as your user name? Fast. Um, you know what? It's user name. Got it, huh? But I o it's like that. So again you use your user name instead of heavens and are so hit. Enter. Boom! Here's a website and it should be showing your website So other Ling's should work my Russian mission work. If you go down here back to my proto should work uh, this get helps it open your get up pages. So let's go back. So remember we added that icon is there? Um OK, so this is it. So in order to if you want to share this address with other people it is this address and this the user name thought get up dot Io So congratulations. You have created a website and made it life. So I hope you will email me with your address so I can check out what you have created. True. Free to change it. Change the picture. Changed the information to Affleck. Yours.
