THEORY
ACCURANCY-Is the proximity of measurement results to the true value.
PRECISION-Is the degree to which repeated or reproducible measurement under
unchanged conditions show the same results.
PROCEDURE
PIPETTE:
-Weigh the mass of the empty beaker.
-Put 25cm^2 of distilled water into a pre-weighed beaker by pipette.
-Weigh the beaker and water together.
-Rehash 5 times drying the beaker each time.
-Determine the mass of the water.
-Use the avarage mass and standard deviation to get the results.
-Calculate the density of water.
-The precision and accurancy of the review results
BURRET:
-Weigh the mass of the empty beaker.
-Drain the burette 2 or 3 times using distilled water.
-Burette to zero level with distilled water.
-The water should run until the bottom of the menisus matches the zero line.
-Pour 25cm^3 of water into the a pre-weighed beaker.
-Weigh the water and beaker together.
-Determine the mass of the water.
-Use the average mass and standard deviation to get the results.
-Calculate the density of water.
-The precision and accurancy of the review results.
DISCUSSION
-My results for the Pipette density were=0.99 and Burette density were=1,56
-My results for Pipette standard deviation were =0.04 and Burette standard
deviation were=2.9.
ACCORDING TO MY RESULTS THE PIPETTE IS MORE ACCURATE THAN THE BURETT.
CONCLUSION
-The Pipette is more accurate and the Burette is least accurate
