For Publish Subset or SetSubsetRoles.exe, you need to load SQL Server Management Studio.
2. On the SQL Server Installation Center screen, click New installation or add features to an existing
installation.
3. Click Next.
4. Accept the license terms.
5. Click Next.
6. On the Feature Selection screen, check the Database Engine Services feature only. If other boxes are
checked, clear them.
7. Click Next.
8. On the Instance Configuration screen, review the instance name, and change it if necessary.
9. Click Next.
On the Server Configuration screen, review the credentials that are used for the created services. For
the SQL Server Database Engine service, select NT Service\MSSQL$SQLEXPRESS from the Account
Name column drop-down list. See the example below:

n In the Specify SQL Server administrators field, review the people who should have unrestricted
access to the database engine. Add or remove administrators as needed.
After completing installation, check the SQL Server Service to verify that the SQL Server service is set to Log
on as Local System account.
Database Upgrade
If you attach a database created from an older supported version of SQL Server Express (for example, a
MobileViewer subset or NetViewer Web Client Context database) it is automatically upgraded to the version on
the machine.
