PART 4: The faces

For the male: I put the eyes between Rounds 2 and 3 of the head, spaced by 3 stitches.
With your tapestry needle and the black yarn, make some eyebrows above the eyes and a
mouth (see picture below).

Let me show you how to make eyelashes.

For the female: I put the eyes between Rounds 2 and 3 of the head, spaced by 3 stitches.
Before to attach the eyes, with your tapestry needle and the black yarn, make some
eyelashes (see picture below). Once it is done, you can attach the eyes.
You can then make a mouth and add some blush below the eyes with your tapestry needle
and some pink yarn (see picture below).
For the small crochet bee applique: I put the eyes between Rounds 2 and 3 of the head,
spaced by 3 stitches. With your tapestry needle and the black yarn, make a mouth (see
picture below).

PART 5: Assembling all the parts together

Sew the head to the body (choose if you want it on the left, on the right or in the middle).
I did sew the heads to the last two rows of the body.

Sew the wings on the inside of the body. You can decide how long you want the wings to
be (i hide about 0.8″ / 1.5 cm of the wings – see picture below). For the big ones, I
attached both wings at the top of the body. For the little one, I attached them to both
sides.
Of course, my official tester loves these crochet bumble bees and made them meet the
family of crochet avocados!
