Note 1: This calibration certificate shall not be reproduced except in full, without the written consent of the
Emirates Metrology Institute.
Note 2: The reported expanded uncertainty of measurement is stated as the standard uncertainty of measurement
multiplied by the coverage factor k=2 such that the coverage probability corresponds to approximately
95%. The uncertainty evaluation has been carried out in accordance with JCGM 100:2008 Evaluation of
measurement data — Guide to the expression of uncertainty in measurement. Long term variations of the
item under calibration are not included in the uncertainty estimate.
Note 3: The result of calibration is valid only for the item submitted to the Emirates Metrology Institute.
Note 4: The certificate is consistent with the capabilities that are included in Appendix C of the MRA drawn up by
the International Committee for Weights and Measures (CIPM). Under the MRA, all participating institutes
measurement uncertainties specified in Appendix C (for detail see www.bipm.org).

Result of calibration
The temperature deviation of the units under test (UUT) from the reference thermometer are given in the
following table:

Reference Temperature UUT Display Temperature UUT Deviation Temperature Uncertainty

(˚C) (˚C) (˚C) (˚C)

-29.753 -29.736 0.017 0.02

-9.735 -9.717 0.018 0.02

0.000 0.018 0.018 0.02

49.860 49.880 0.020 0.02

99.981 99.983 0.002 0.03

200.043 200.037 -0.006 0.03

399.961 399.973 0.012 0.22

The measurement uncertainty referred in the table, is the combined expanded uncertainty (k=2) of the
measurement. It includes the uncertainty of the reference temperature and the uncertainty of the UUT.

The immersion of the thermometer in the calibration bath was approximately 28 cm.
