Khanuspur is located in Pakistan, in the lower Siwalik range. The place is a beauty of its own kind. It is cool in summers and cold in winters. Most of the times t is snow covered in winters. Khanuspur is located at a drive of one hour or so from Murree and Nathiagali, the most populous cities in the Siwaliks.
The Northern Pakistan consists of a series of mighty mountain ranges. The Siwaliks are one of these ranges. There are many enchanting valleys in Siwaliks. Khanuspur is one destination in that part of Pakistan where you can enjoy peaceful stay. The air is clean and trekkKhanuspur is located at half an hour walk from Ayubia. Ayubia is a popular tourist resort as it was one of the few places where chair lifts were installed few decades back. The mountains here are green with Alpine trees seen more commonly. Our dean decided a trip of khanaspur for us to refreash our minds which were loaded and tired because of continuous studies. It
was 3rd of June, 2011. We were very excited about trip to Khanspur. We were strictly ordered to be on time (sharp 5:30 Am), so we tried our best to be on time and we were on gates at 5.15 am and lo time stopped. We waited, waited and waited but there was no sign of Bus. At last after 1 hour sound of horn was just like pond of water in desert. We rode on bus quickly and went to department where other fellows were waiting for us badly. We managed our luggage on roof of bus and managed to sit on bus. We, guys of MSc 4th semester were able to sit on back seats of bus. It was pre- planned so we might be able to enjoy beautiful scenes on our way. When we just came out of Lahore a roar of sound was vibrating the bus. There were a lot slogans from bs 2nd smester girls as they were so excited. Sir Imran was very excited to hear slogans along with Sir Abdl Rehman. There were two ways to reach Islamabad. 1st one was through Motorway and 2nd was through G.T Road. Our authorities decided or better considered the 1st option. It was an interesting journey through motorway and we stopped at certain stops for break or otherwise driver might have been slept. It was a long journey and at the end it becomes boring up to some extent. But the girls made this enjoyable by singing songs in their sweet voice. At Islamabad we met with our seniors who were returning from that journey on which our adventure was going to be started. They were excited but looking tired. We stopped at savior hotel and had lunch there. We were treated with shami chicken rice, cold drinks and ice cream which just doubled our taste. then we started our journey again. It is a dangerous path from Islamabad to Ayubia. At a slope our bus
was not moving upward and it was coming down. Some girls shouted to cry and others were afraid but they were not showing it or they were pretending to be brave. By blessing of ALLAH, the bus stared to move on. Finally we reached at Ayubia. Where Sir Sikander Sultan was waiting for us anxiously. There again we put off our luggage from bus and loaded on jeep. Because we had to reach Khanspur by hiking ( paidal march) and we are not so strong that we manage both of things at the same time i.e. hiking and holding our bags. There were a lot of photographers (some of my friends who always want their snaps behind or front of camera), so we took many awesome pictures there in beautiful landscape of our Khanspur . it was a lond distance but we enjoyed a lot. Sir Sikander Sultan was asking us again and again to be on one side of road. But some people were not paying their attentions. Finally, we reached at Khanspur and took hold of our beds dinner was ready. We dine in LASANI hotel which was just in front of our campus. We were served by chicken korma and then with tea, which brought a feeling of comfort in coldness. Then we went to our rooms and had late night gossips . And then went to sleep because we had to woke up early in the morning where breakfast at sharp 7 O, clock was waiting. On next morning, after taking breakfast we hiked back up to Ayubia where we were planned to hike along pipeline track from Ayubia to Donga Galle (almost 4.5 km).It is a very beautiful track with awesome scenes. We observed a great diversity of life there some trees or plants present in khan spur., both of flora and fauna. The trees were many meters tall. As gymnosperm is a dominant generation of this area. Here is a list of some trees of khanspur.
Pinus polychiana Pinus rouxburgii Cedar Palm Deodar Conifer trees were abundant. Some conifers have short needles and some long, and some have flat leaves like scales. Cones may be tiny or large, and they can stand up, hang down or be attached along the entire length of the twig.Conifers make up the division Pinophyta, also known as Coniferophyta and Coniferae. Some commonly recognized conifer species include cedar, fir, cypress, juniper, larch, pine, redwood, spruce and yew.
There was a dangerous track because there was a huge mountains on one side and deep valleys on other side moreover there was no water.
We also saw monkeys there which were playing and making fun. Nature is really very beautiful. At last after 2.30 hours we were at Dunga Gale. We took lunch there and moved to Ayubia. Then there we enjoyed a lot while riding on chair lift. It seemed to be a dream while observing over the hills the beautiful life of that valley. We did some shopping over there and returned to Khanspur by the same way as we did for the first time (paidal March). All the night we had a great fun because it was our last night over there. On last day we took breakfast and loaded our luggage on jeep. Then we moved up to Ayubia through jeeps, driver was driving very fast and we enjoyed his brave driving. From Ayubia we rode on our bus and started our journey back to Lahore. On reaching Islamabad we visited Pakistan Monument (which is a symbol of unity, faith and brotherhood of people of Pakistan along its culture) and LOK VIRSA. In LOK VIRSA different cultures
of Pakistan are presented in a gorgeous manner and everything seems to be real. It was a source of information about our great country. Then we take lunch there and moved back to Lahore. We were tired but we enjoyed a lot. We were going back through G.T road. And on success of such a splendid trip of our session sir Sikander Sultan, sir Imran and sir Abdul Rehman treated us with tea. It was very happy to know that everyone really enjoyed. We reached Lahore at almost 9 pm and we landed on land of MMG.. everyone was shouting; MMG zindabad Sir Sikander zindabad Sir Imran zindabad Sir Abdul Rehman zindabad And Dr. Anjum zindabad We cant forget all this. It was a splendid trip. It was a source of information as well as source of entertainment. And memories of this journey will make me happy throughout my life.
