1. INTRODUCTION
Company intends to carry out further petroleum operations and activities in connection
with its on-going exploration, development and production programs in Blocks 3 (Afar)
and 4 (Ghunaim), onshore in Oman and is desirous of procuring Pigging Services for 6”,
8”, 10”, 12” & 16” pipelines at Block 3 & 4” to support these activities.

2. PURPOSE
Company intends to engage an experienced and competent contractor for the provision
of pigging services for pipelines in Blocks 3 & 4.
The Scope of Work will include but not be limited to the provision of equipment and
competent and experienced personnel required to perform the service in accordance
with the Scope of Work and to the reasonable satisfaction of the Company.
The Term of intended contract is for 4 years.
Each pipeline will be pigged based on the Company requirement. The sequence and
timing of each order will be determined by Company but it is anticipated that the first
campaign will consist of a cleaning/intelligent pigging program. This will be followed by
periodic maintenance pigging operations and additional intelligent pigging programs as
required.

4. SITE CONDITIONS

Blocks 3 and 4 are remote sites located approximately 350 kilometres south west
of Muscat. There are established asphalted public highways which reach to within
approximately 80 kilometres of graded gravel packed roads from the north and
approximately 15 kilometres from the south.
The work will be conducted in a remote location where the personnel/workers
will experience extreme heat in a harsh environment. The contractor must fully
understand the hazards, risks and the required mitigations to execute the service
safely. The Contractor is expected to understand this requirement as part of the
scope of work, and incorporate this issue into its Management System.
In addition to the above, Contractor shall take account of the high relative
humidity leading to heavy condensation at night time, extremes of weather
conditions including seasonal sand and dust storms, infrequent but high intensity
rainfall with flash flooding, electrical storms and the effects of long journeys over
rough graded roads, often with wash-board surfaces.

The Contractor must fully understand the hazards, risks and required mitigations
to execute the work safely.
4.2 Working Hours
4.2.1 Working hours for the Pigging Operations shall be agreed between
Company and Contractor, however the normal working day of the
Contractor crew shall be from 6.00 to 18.00, with one-hour lunch break.

requirement/pigging schedule and on any day including national holidays


and weekends.
4.2.2 Outside of the normal working day and in the event of an emergency
situation the Contractor may be called out to provide the pigging
services/re-run etc. The Contractor’s representative shall therefore be
available on call beyond normal working hours and on holidays to meet
any emergency work and coordinate any emergency services that may
be required.

5. DETAILED SCOPE AND DELIVERABLES


5.1 General
Contractor shall manage, direct, supervise, execute and control the services,
personnel and equipment detailed in this section including its obligations under
the contract such as providing experienced, qualified and competent personnel
with appropriate tools and equipment with all its ancillary and associated items
required to perform a safe pigging operation.
5.2 Pigging Schedules
5.2.1 Intelligent Pigging Operating shall be done as and when advised by the
Company.
5.2.2 Maintenance pigging will be done as and when advised by the Company.
5.3 List of Pipelines
A list of pipelines to be pigged is presented below. Line lengths are approximate.
Where noted, Contractor shall provide temporary pig launchers and receivers
required for intelligent and maintenance pigging operations.

Scope
Two pipelines are buried: #1, Farha Station to Saiwan Station and #3, Saiwan
Station to Qaran Al Alam. The other lines are laid on the surface on concrete
sleepers except for road and wadi crossings.
5.4 Preparation for Work
5.4.1 Within 30 days of Contract execution, Contractor shall carry out an initial
survey of the pipelines intended for pigging and submit a methodology
of the pigging operation to the Company for review and approval.
5.4.2 Within 30 days of Contract execution, Contractor shall analyze the
pigging operations to identify all associated risks and required controls
and mitigations and submit a report for Company review and approval.
This report will be updated as revised to reflect lessons learned.
5.4.3 For intelligent pigging operations, Contractor shall develop detailed
programs for each pipeline and submit to Company for review and
approval at least 15 days before mobilization.

• Quantity of each type of pig (to be based on possibility of multiple
runs)
• Specification of each pig including drawings, inspection reports and
third party certification.
• QA/QC requirements for pig launcher/receiver, pigs and other
equipment
• Criteria / benchmark for pipeline condition prior to start the
intelligent pig run
• Risks & mitigations including methodology for retrieval of a stuck pig.
The programs will be periodically updated as required to reflect changing
requirements and lessons learned.
5.4.4 For Maintenance Pigging operations, Contractor shall develop detailed
programs for each pipeline and submit to Company for review and
approval at least 15 days before mobilization. Submission to include:

5.4.5 For each mobilization, Contractor will develop a Project Execution Plan
that includes:
• Schedule
• Equipment, personnel, tools to be supplied by Company and
Contractor
• Requirements from Company to assist and support the program.
• Engineering standards adopted.
• The programs defined in Sections 5.4.3 and 5.4.4
• Interface Register
• HSE plan
• Close Out Plan
5.5 In field Requirements
5.5.1 Contractor shall provide all transportation requirements for Contractor
Personnel.
5.5.2 Contractor shall perform a field visit and line walk before the start of each
pigging operation to evaluate and survey current terrain, tap off
locations, identify risks if any.
5.5.3 Contractor shall perform pre-operation checks including inspection and
testing of the pig launcher and receiver section before the start of the
pigging operations as required by the method of statements developed
in section 5.4.
5.5.4 Contractor is responsible for Pig launching and receiving activities under
supervision of Company.
5.5.5 Pigging operations will be conducted in accordance with Company’s
Permit to Work System and in full compliance with Company’s
Operational, Process Safety, integrity and HSE requirements.
5.6 Intelligent Pigging runs
5.6.1 Contractor shall install GPS coordinated above ground markers at regular
spacing and shall ensure that Intelligent Pig reports captures exact
location of any defect detected.

5.6.2 During a pigging run, the Contractor shall track and monitor the progress
of pig advancement and report to the Company as required.
5.6.3 Intelligent pig run will be deemed successful based on the guidance
provided in Section 7.1 of the Pipeline Operator Forum document,
Specifications and Requirements for In-Line Inspection of Pipelines
(Version 2016).
5.6.4 Contractor shall carryout the intelligent pig run/re-run until the
operation is successful, i.e. intelligent pig run charges are only applicable
for a successful run.
5.6.5 Contract shall preform ILI run anomaly verification that includes
Excavation & Back filling (for buried lines), Coating (removal and
application), NDT inspection and Anomaly location markup (permanent
signs)
5.7 Stuck Pig Scenario
5.7.1 In the event of a stuck pig, Contractor shall update the plans included in
sections 5.4.3 and 5.4.4 to reflect the details of the situation and present
it to the Company for review and approval.
5.7.2 The Contractor will be responsible for providing technical assistance that
may be required by the Company for retrieval of the Stuck Pig.
5.7.3 Contractor shall support the Company’s Operations personnel in
conducting an Impact study in an event of a stuck pig.
5.7.4 The Company will provide operational assistance to the Contractor by
increasing the pressure within operational constraints and managing the
flow variations as required to move the pig.
5.8 Contractor’s Equipment and Storage
5.8.1 Contractor shall be solely responsible for the transportation, storage,
safe custody, risks, security, maintenance and operation of Contractor's
tools, material and equipment and shall provide the services that include
but are not limited to connecting, testing, inspection, calibration,
operation, maintenance, repair, disconnecting, internal/external
transportation, systems support etc. to the required standards and
desired outcome and in compliance to the Company’s policies and
procedures.
5.8.2 An area within Company’s premises will be temporarily allocated for the
storage of Contractor material, equipment and consumables,
Contractor’s storage container and also for the execution of ad-hoc work
whenever possible subject to the following conditions:
• Contractor must ensure adherence to the Permit to Work system for
any work performed at the designated area.

• The Contractor shall maintain good housekeeping at the work


location and all its site facilities should be kept in a clean, safe and
hygienic condition at all times.
5.8.3 Contractor’s field facilities shall be made available at all times for
inspection by Company’s representative and any recommendations shall
be implemented promptly by Contractor
5.9 Reporting
5.9.1 Following each pig run, Contractor shall submit an Operations report as
per the requirements of Section 7 of the Pipeline Operator Forum
document, Specifications and Requirements for In-Line Inspection of
Pipelines (Version 2016).
5.9.2 The report shall be submitted to Company no later than 48 hours after
completion of a pig run. For IL, the report shall be issued prior to
demobilization of Contractor Personnel and/or equipment.
5.9.3 The report shall include before and after photographs of the pigs
5.9.4 Pigging returns (type and mass) recovered from the pig trap shall be
detailed.
5.9.5 Following each intelligent pig run, Contractor shall submit a Preliminary
report and Final report as per the requirements of Section 7 of the
Pipeline Operator Forum document, Specifications and Requirements for
In-Line Inspection of Pipelines (Version 2016).
• The Preliminary pig run report within 4 weeks of completion of the
pig run. This report shall detail the pig run characteristics, data
collection and the 20 worst defects detected.
• The Final pipeline integrity report with measurement reading shall
be submitted within 8 weeks of completion of the pig run.
5.9.6 In addition to the requirements of Section 7 of the Pipeline Operator
Forum document, Specifications and Requirements for In-Line Inspection
of Pipelines (Version 2016), the Preliminary and Final reports shall
include photographs and the reports shall be in alignment with the
surveyed GPS coordinates that will be provided by Company.
5.9.7 Company will provide GPS coordinates of the Pig launcher, receiver and
any block valve stations along the entire length of the pipelines. The
Contractor shall ensure that the reports are aligned to these surveyed
coordinates.
5.9.8 Contractor shall be responsible for identifying the actual field repair
location if identified in IL pig report as per GPS coordinates provided by
the Company before the pig Run. All defects should indicate GPS
coordinates with respect to Line GPS coordinates and GPS markers
installed along the line.

5.9.9 Contractor shall provide recommendations for repair of the flow line if
any defect has been identified during the intelligent pig run.

6. MOBILIZATION, COMMENCEMENT OF SERVICES AND DEMOBILIZATION


6.1 Transportation
Contractor is responsible for transportation of Contractor Personnel and all
equipment including but not limited to pigs, pig launchers, pig receivers, tools,
and consumables to and from Company’s site. This will include obtaining visas,
custom clearances, documentation, warehousing (if required in transit) etc.
6.2 Mobilization Schedule
The Contractor shall mobilize its Personnel, Material, Tools and Equipment
required to commence the services at Site within 4 weeks of execution of a Call-
Off service order.
6.3 Demobilization
The Contractor should promptly demobilize from Site on completion of the
contract period or on successful completion of each job defined in the Call-Off
service order. The Contractor must ensure all its equipment, tools, facilities,
material etc are cleared from the Company’s premises (including but not limited
to clearing any debris, construction waste, scrap disposal, removing of damaged
material etc generated as a result of this activity) in the most expeditious manner
with proper documentation, in accordance with the Contract and in compliance
to Company’s security procedures.
Contractor shall not commence demobilization until completion of the Services to
the satisfaction of the Company.

7. PIG SPECIFICATION
7.1 General
7.1.1 All pigs supplied by the Contractor shall be of a reputed and proven
brand. The specifications of the pigs shall be approved by the Company
prior to mobilizing to Site.
7.1.2 Contractor should obtain a certification of the pigs by an international
accredited agency approved in advance by Company to check for
conformance to the dimensions, specifications and material of
construction or as per the requirements specified by the Company. The
certificates shall be submitted to the Company for approval prior to
mobilization. Company reserves the right to accept or reject the third
party certificate submitted by the Contractor.
7.1.3 The Pigs shall be available for Company inspection before commencing
the Pigging operation. The Company shall have the right to
approve/reject the pigs.

7.1.4 Pipeline data, crude oil analysis, flow rate and Pump max discharge
pressures shall be provided by the Company to the Contractor. The
Contractor must study the same carefully before selecting or finalizing
the Pig dimensions.
7.1.5 Contractor shall provide dimensional drawing of Pigs before start of the
pigging operation. Drawing should reflect clearance between pipe ID and
Pig OD, especially in bends.
7.1.6 Design and supply of pigs in sufficient quantity as per the approved
specifications and dimensions along with a certified inspection report for
Foam pig, brush pig (Bi-di) and Intelligent pig tool with consumables as
well as Pig trackers, Communication Radios (if required) , pig-retrieving
tools etc.
7.2 Intelligent Pigs
7.2.1 The following operations will be considered for each pipeline:
• UT inline inspection
• High resolution MFL inline inspection
• Combined UT and high resolution MFL inspection.
7.2.2 Detection and sizing tolerance to be reported as per the Pipeline
Operator Forum document, Specifications and Requirements for In-Line
Inspection of Pipelines (Version 2016).
7.2.3 Tool specification to be in accordance with API 1163.
7.3 Other Pigs
Cleaning & Maintenance pigging can utilize the following:
• Foam pig
• Brush pig
• Bi-di pig
• Magnetic bi-di pig

8. PIG LAUNCHERS & RECEIVERS


8.1 Existing equipment
8.1.1 Pig Launchers and Receivers are available for the 10”, 12” and 16” lines
in section 5.3 and are detailed in the attached drawings and
specifications. Contractor shall inspect the launchers and receiver to
confirm these are suitable for their purposes. All costs for modifications
are to the Contractors account. Company will be responsible for
maintenance of the equipment.
8.2 Temporary equipment

8.2.1 As noted in section 5.3, the 6” and 8” pipelines do not have pig launchers.
Contractor scope shall include supply of temporary pig launchers and
receivers for use during pig runs.
8.2.2 Contractor to furnish drawings and specifications of the equipment for
Company review and approval prior to mobilization.
8.2.3 Contractor shall be responsible for the installation and removal of the Pig
Launcher and Receiver.
8.2.4 The equipment shall comply to ASME B31.4 and be consistent with the
pipeline design pressure.

For 6” and 8” pipelines: Contractor to refer to the Temporary Pig
Launcher and Receiver specifications for Supply on Rental Basis

9. CONTRACTOR & CONTRACTOR PERSONNEL COMPETENCY


9.1 Contractor
9.1.1 Contractor must have more than (5) years of experience in Maintenance
& Intelligent pigging operations and should have at least 100 kms

9.1.2 Contractor shall be certified to ISO 9001 or ISO/TS 29001 or a Company
approved equivalent certification for all activities related to this Contract.
Contractor shall maintain certification for such system throughout the
term of this Contract.
9.2 Contractor Personnel
9.2.1 Contractor shall ensure that Contractor Personnel assigned to the
performance of the Work have the requisite experience and
technical/functional capabilities.
9.2.2 Contractor Personnel shall remain at all times and under all
circumstances accountable to Contractor who is responsible for the
management and administration, accounting and social welfare terms of
the employees assigned by him for the execution of the Work.
9.2.3 Contractor undertakes in particular to assume full administrative and
financial responsibility for the recruitment, replacement and
remuneration of Contractor Personnel including salaries, paid holidays,
social charges and income tax, insurance coverage, allowances and
bonuses, visas, work permits.
9.2.4 Contractor shall provide the CV’s of the Key Personnel to the Company
for review and approval prior to mobilizing them to Site.

9.2.5 The Company has the right to instruct the Contractor to replace
personnel in case of any issues related to noncompliance, non-
performance, poor knowledge of the job etc that may arise during the
course of the Contract.
9.2.6 All Contractor’s personnel shall understand, read, write and speak
English fluently.
9.2.7 Contractor shall organize rotation schedules for Contractor Personnel in
agreement with Company. The mobilization and demobilization of
Contractor Personnel required for the performance of the Work shall be
agreed with Company.
9.2.8 All Contractor personnel deployed to site must undergo and pass a pre-
employment medical check-up and an annual medical check-up.
Contractor shall maintain the documents and certifications of Contractor
personnel as applicable to their positions and make this available to
Company upon request.
9.2.9 All Contractor personnel must be “fit to work” and “fit for the location of
work”. The contractor shall operate a fitness to work process and is
responsible to ensure that personnel attend the necessary assessments
in a timely manner and that the risk assessments for the operational
requirements for the tasks are carried out. Contractors are required to
ensure that the health, eyesight and hearing of all personnel working
under this contract are adequate to enable them to carry out their duties.
9.2.10 Contractor’s manpower shall generally work under their own supervision
to provide the requested services, complying with all instructions from
Company while carrying out the work. All Contractor personnel should
be conversant with the related job and shall be able to communicate well
in English and/ or Arabic.
9.2.11 Contractor shall appoint a sufficient number of Supervisors to carry out
the work as per Company requirements whenever and where ever their
personnel are working.
9.2.12 Supervisors shall be fully aware of the nature of the job to be performed,
risks involved, safety measures to be taken, Company Permit to Work
system requirements, First Aid, emergency procedures etc. Contractor
will also allocate a qualified HSE person to be on site to ensure that all
jobs are being followed to the correct HSE guidelines.
9.2.13 Contractor shall provide replacement personnel if any of the supplied
personnel becomes ill or unavailable for work.
9.2.14 Contractor shall be solely responsible for the good conduct and
disciplined behavior of his personnel. In cases where disciplinary action
requires dismissal from the Work Site, Contractor bears full responsibility
for the removal/demobilization of such personnel from the site, and

replacement with qualified staff in a timely manner that will not


jeopardize the quality or continuity of safe operation of the facility.
9.2.15 Contractor shall be knowledgeable of quality related procedures,
practices and standards and ensure that these are maintained.
9.3 Key Personnel
9.3.1 Once selected, Key Personnel shall not be replaced during the execution of
service order without the prior written consent of the Company, which will not be
unreasonably withheld. In the event of any change in Key Personnel, the
Contractor shall ensure that there is an appropriate handover process to the
satisfaction of the Company. Pig runs will be carried out only once the
replacement is mobilized to site and handover is completed.
9.3.2 Project Focal Point
Contractor shall appoint a Project Focal Point for the duration of the
Contract. This position shall handle the day to day operation of the
Contract and liaise with the Company’s Contract Holder and the
Contractor’s field personnel. The Project Manager shall have a minimum
of ten (10) years relevant experience with a minimum of three (3) years’
of experience in a senior supervisory role. The Project Manager shall be
responsible for the overall pigging operation, adherence to HSE
management systems and execution preparation (including not but
limited to ensuring availability of material as per the required technical
specifications, tools, equipment and consumables), providing guidance
and technical support to the field personnel, timely invoice submission,
and ensuring progress of contract scope as per the agreed terms and
conditions and timelines.
When planning for and executing a pigging program, the Project Manager
will be officed in Oman to provide immediate technical assistance and
administrative support whenever required during the operation.
9.3.3 Field Coordinator / Supervisor
The Field Coordinator will be based at the field during the execution
phase of the contract scope and shall be the focal Point of Contact in the
Field with the Company Field personnel. Field Coordinator/ supervisor
shall have a minimum of five (5) years of experience in intelligent pigging.
Should be trained and certified in Intelligent pigging of crude oil
pipelines, as per ANSI/ASNT ILI-PQ.
The Field Coordinator/ supervisor should perform the following tasks in
addition to the roles and responsibilities assigned by the Contractor:
• Prepare and write comprehensive daily reports and a forward day
work program.
• Lead the field team and coordinate with the Project Manager.

• Should be experienced and knowledgeable in the Company’s PTW


systems, conducting JSA, Risk assessment preparation etc.
• Should be trained in a Company’s Permit to Work system in a
training agency approved by Company and the course should be
specific to Company’s Permit to Work system.
• Prepare Job Safety and Hazard analysis and Permit to Work
documentation.
• Should attend the PTW meeting at Site on a daily basis.
• Adhere to the quality, health and safety related procedures, industry
best practices, appropriate codes and standards and ensure
compliance to the same.
• Maintain complete records of the tools, equipment, spares and
consumables that are stored and utilized.
• Insure the availability of equipment and timely maintenance /
repairs.
• Perform self-audits of the Scope requirements and readiness.
• Ensure all personnel are equipped with appropriate PPE.
• Ensure all personnel have undergone their medical checks prior to
mobilization to field and are fit for remote area operations.
• Ensure all personnel have undergone the required training programs.
Maintain an accurate record of the same and present when
requested by the Company.
• Address grievances of Contractor personnel
• Co-ordinate with the drivers and ensure personnel reach the work
location on time and that meals and water are distributed on time.
• Preparation of Service completion certificate and timesheets.
• Inform Company in case of absenteeism of personnel.
• Co-ordinate with the Company’s camp manager to ensure proper
accommodation and meals are provided for the personnel.
• Ensure that the service completion report and time sheet are duly
approved by the Company’s representative on completion of each
activity and the same are attached to the monthly invoice to
facilitate an efficient invoice verification process

10. IN COUNTRY VALUE (ICV)


10.1 During the execution of the Contract, the Contractor must ensure the following
conditions are met to fulfil the In-Country Value (ICV) objective:
10.1.1 Services:
10.1.1.1 Contractor shall be a local company with Omani share more
than 51%
10.1.1.2 Contractor shall appoint Omani office based focal point & site
supervisor to manage this contract.
10.1.1.3 Contractor will hire Omani candidate(s) who will be trained
and developed as a technician(s) to support the Pigging

Operations or Contractor will provide a trained (in house)


technician to fulfil the ICV Objective.
10.1.1.4 All field support staff, e.g. riggers, semi-skilled personnel,
drivers etc, shall be Omani nationals.
10.2 Contractor must ensure that all or any part of the scope that is outsourced or
procured must be from Small Medium Enterprises (SME’s) or Local Community
Contractors (LCC’s) within the Sultanate of Oman. Such LCC’s or SME’s must be
contracted through the Joint Supplier Registration System (JSRS) hosted by the
Ministry of Energy and Minerals in Oman. The Contractor at its sole cost and
responsibility shall ensure that all and any awards of such scope to SME’s and LCC’s
are registered and logged on the JSRS platform during the Term of the Contract.
During the execution of the Contract, the Contractor must ensure that 10% of the
Contract value is subcontracted with SME’s or LCC’s to fulfil the In-Country Value
(ICV) objectives.

11. COMPANY RESPONSIBILITY AND ROLE


11.1 Company Representative
11.1.1 The Company Representative shall have authority to act for and on behalf of
Company on all matters connected with the Contract. Prior to the
Commencement Date, Company shall provide the Contractor, in writing, the name
of the designated Company Representative. The Company Representative may,
by informing Contractor in writing, delegate any of his duties to one or more
individuals who shall thereby have authority to act in his place.
11.1.2 Company shall issue to Contractor written instructions, operation procedures
and safety rules, and any addendum or modification thereto as may be required
from time to time.
11.2 Items provided by Company
11.2.1 The Company will supply Crane/Heavy Lift equipment required for the pigging
operation. The Contractor will provide advance notification to the Company about
the requirement, type of material handling equipment/crane, its capacity etc.
11.2.2 Company shall provide information, documents and data in its possession
which are reasonably required by Contractor for the performance of the Work.
11.2.3 Where Contractor requests Company’s approval or decision on any matter,
Company shall provide comments and decisions at such time as reasonably
requested by Contractor so as to avoid any delay to the Work.
11.2.4 Company will be responsible for all matters relating to its own personnel,
including any visas, work permits or other authorizations required at the relevant
locations.

11.2.5 If requested, Company will provide reasonable assistance to Contractor for


Contractor to obtain permits and licenses required for the Work, such assistance
normally being limited to provision of a letter of support.
11.2.6 The Company shall supply routine medical care, at Contractor expense, in
either the Farha or Block 4 clinic.
11.3 Meals and Accommodation at Site
11.3.1 The Company will provide senior room accommodation (twin sharing) &
laundry services for the Field Coordinator / Supervisor only.
11.3.2 Company will provide labor accommodations & laundry services for all other
Contractor personnel.
11.3.3 The Company will provide meals to all the Contractor’s personnel on duty and
based at Site.
11.3.4 Contractor is responsible for collecting the food from the camp and delivering
the same to its field personnel at the job location.
11.4 Contractor Performance Evaluation and Feedback
11.4.1 The Company’s Representative shall evaluate the Contractor on its
performance during the course of the contract.
11.4.2 The Company shall have the right but not the obligation to provide appropriate
feedback to the Contractor on completion of the performance evaluation and the
Contractor shall be responsible to remedy any gaps identified during this process
within the prescribed timelines.

13. HSE
13.1 The Contractor shall be fully responsible for maintaining highest standards of safety,
fire prevention and first aid support at all times. The Contractor shall follow
Company HSSE requirements stipulated in Section B7 of the Contract and other
statutory safety regulations as per the regulations in the Sultanate of Oman.
13.2 Contractor must ensure adherence to the quality, health and safety related
procedures, industry best practices, appropriate codes and standards and ensure
compliance to the same.
13.3 Contractor must have in place proper drip trays for all paint/chemical containers
and barrels to avoid spillage or leakage that may cause damage to the environment
/ contaminate the soil.
13.4 All Containers, Barrels containing paints, chemicals, solvents etc should be properly
marked/labelled for easy identification.
13.5 Material Safety Data Sheet of all paints and paint related material/chemicals should
be available in both English and Arabic and placed at the storage area and work site.

13.6 Contractor must have in place a waste disposal procedure and ensure all
used/empty paint containers are collected, stored separately and disposed on a
monthly basis as per the regulations of the Sultanate of Oman.
13.7 Drivers should obtain permission from the gatehouse to enter through the Plant
gates.
13.8 Contractor shall be responsible for the removal and disposal of all its waste from
the Site such as Paint containers, grit, used drums, pallets, plastics, empty sacks,
paper bags, waste lubes/oils/grease and any other waste or debris generated as a
result if its execution of the Work.
13.9 Contractor shall be certified to ISO 9001 or ISO/TS 29001 for all activities related to
this Contract. Contractor shall maintain certification for such system throughout the
term of this Contract.
13.10 All contractor field personal must possess:

• Valid H2S certification


• Basic Fire response & fighting training
• Basic first aid training
• Company security Pass / badge.
• Permit to Work (Through Company approved training agency and
the course should be specific to the Company PTW Systems)
13.11 All Contractor personnel driving to/from and within the Field shall possess:

• Valid ROP driving license


• Valid graded driving road training
• Defensive driving training and certification
• Company’s Journey Management Plan
13.12 The Contractor’s personnel shall also participate in the Company’s HSE
programs such as:

• Camp & plant & Field drills


• Emergency Response
• Journey Management System
• Defensive driving behaviour programs
• Job-Safety-Assessment
• Permit-To-Work Systems

14. TRANSPORTATION AND VEHICLES


14.1. The Contractor shall be responsible for providing transportation for its personnel
to and from their place of work and 4X4 pick-up truck for moving material and
equipment within the fields etc.

14.2. Contractor shall ensure a vehicle is on standby and readily available at the field for
transportation of its personnel, tools etc.
14.3. Diesel fuel for approved Contractor’s field vehicles will be provided by Company
for approved legitimate Contract use.
14.4. Vehicle movements under the scope of this Contract including transportation of
the Personnel & Equipment to Site shall be subject to the requirements of the Safe
Journey Management Specification as set out in the OPAL Traffic Management
document. This procedure applies to all work-related journeys undertaken by the
Contractor either on black top roads or graded roads.
14.5. Contractor must have in place a procedure for transportation of the hazardous
material that details the type of Vehicle to be utilized, packing, and securing of the
necessary Equipment & tools, emergency response plan, communication protocol
while in transit, Journey Management, driver’s experience and certification and
route map etc.
14.6. The necessary Equipment, Instruments and tools shall be properly secured, and
adequate measures shall be taken to prevent any missing.
14.7. The necessary Equipment, Instruments and tools should be loaded onto the vehicle
and stored in such a manner to ensure that the entire items are safely and easily
unloaded at Site.
14.8. Drivers of such light vehicles shall undergo a transportation training, defensive and
graded driving trainings and shall be briefed about the hazards, controls in place
and the communication protocol in case of an emergency.
14.9. Contractor shall mobilise its Equipment, Tools, Instruments, Personnel, vehicles
and all other items required to perform the services such that it is ready to fulfil its
obligations on the Commencement Date.
