Feminist Theology (BTW 14)

BD IV, Semester II (2020-21), 4 Credits; Senate Paper

Course Objectives

This course aims to help the students:

Develop a feminist/Womanist Perspective that is gender sensitive and consistently


critical of patriarchy and other dominant ideologies and structures.

Approach the fundamental theological themes with a basic commitment to gender


justice.

Interrogate the dominant theological expressions from feminist standpoint.

Expected Learning Outcomes

At the end of the course, the students will:

Be equipped with a gender sensitive outlook to interrogate dominant oppressive


ideologies particularly patriarchy.

Attain the basic knowledge of feminist theologizing.

Achieve skills to develop new expressions of Christian faith with a commitment to


gender justice.

Pedagogy: Interactive Lectures, Assignments/Reading Reports/Paper Presentations.
