    The All Tripura Chess Association will host the Tripura State Under-17 Open and Girls Chess Championship from April 16-17, 2023. The tournament will select two players in each category to participate in the MPL 33rd National Under-17 Open and Girls Chess Championship in Punjab in May 2023. Players must be born on or after January 1, 2006 to be eligible. The event will consist of 6 rounds over the two days. Prizes will be awarded to the top four finishers in each category. The entry fee is Rs. 500 and the last date for entries is April 15, 2023.

    Age Limit:
    Players should be born on or after 01.01.2006

    Prizes:
    Top 4 (four) in Each Category (Open & Girls) Total 8 (eight) Trophies.
    Duration:
    60 min with 30 sec increment. (walk over 15 minutes.)

    Tie Break :
    Following is the order of tie-break:
    a) Buchholz Cut 1
    b) Buchholz
    c) Sonneborn Berger
    d) Direct encounter
    e) The greater number of wins (forfeit included)
    f) Greater Number of wins by black

    Protest :
    Protests, if any, against the decision of the Chief Arbiter, shall be made in writing
    with a protest fee of Rs. 1000/- within 15 minutes of the occurrence of the
    incident.The amount shall be refunded if the appeal is upheld .
