Trouble Shooting – Touch Fail

• Check Touch Panel connector CON2401 to MB is properly


assembled
• Check Sensor is functional by cross certification with another
main board or FPC no crack
• Check TP_2V8 has 2.8V supply (U2402)
• Check I2C_TP_SCL/SDA works normally (R2414/R2415)
• Check TS_INT_N works normally (R2409)
• Check TS_RESOUT_N works normally (R2410)
• Since Z370 use On-cell TP+LCM, Raw data test spec should be
same as IQC&OQC. No need to adjust Test spec after MP
• Reheat Panel Connector(CON2401)

Trouble Shooting – LCM No Display

• Check LCM FPC is properly assembled


• Replace LCM & MB cross certification
• Check VCC_LCM3V3 is 3.3V (C2404)
• Check VSD_1V8 is 1.8V (C2406)
• Check V_LED is 7.7V (PC8903)
• Check LED_FB is 0.2V (100%) (PSR8901)
• Check MIPI interface has driven to HS voltage (150~250mV)
IF not check SOC / connector / 0ohm MIPI resistor SMT
• Check LCM_RST_N is 1.8V high (T2401)
• Check P_BL_PWM_5 has PWM signal output (PSR8919)
• Reheat or replace SOC / LCM connector(CON2401) / Backlight

Trouble Shooting – LCM No Display2

• Cadiz performs picture quality enhancement


• Check AVDD12 is 1.2V (U2501)
• Check DVDD18 is 1.8V (U2502)
• Check DVDD18 is 1.8V (U2502)
• Check CADIZ_FSYS2 has 26Mhz Clock(R2518)
• Check CADIZ_I2C_SDA/SCL works normally (R2524&R2526)
• Check MIPI interface has driven to HS voltage (Input &
output)(T2502~T2505 & output 0ohm resistor)
• Reheat Cadiz IC (U2503)

• Check Main Camera Module is properly assembled


• Check Main Camera & MB is functional by cross certification
• Check VDD_1.8V_CAM has 1.8V supply (R2201)
• Check VDD_2.8V_CAM has 2.8V supply (R2202)
• Check VCM_2P8_AF has 2.8V supply (U2201)
• Check DVDD_1P2_REAR has 1.2V supply (U2202)
• Check CAM_MCLK 19.2MHz clock (R2204)
• Check CAM_PWDN_N has driven to 1.8V (R2205)
• Check CAM_I2C_SCL/SDA works normally (R2207/R2208)
• Check MIPI interface has driven to HS voltage (70~330mV)
IF not check SOC / connector / 0ohm MIPI resistor SMT

• Reheat or replace AG620 Cam connector (CON2201)
Trouble Shooting – Front CAM Fail

• Check Main Camera Module is properly assembled


• Check Main Camera & MB is functional by cross certification
• Check VDD_1.8V_CAM has 1.8V supply (R2201)
• Check VDD_2.8V_CAM has 2.8V supply (R2202)
• Check MCLK SUB_CAM_CLK 19.2MHz clock (R2204)
• Check SUB_PWDN_N has driven to 1.8V (R2214)
• Check SUB_I2C_SCL/SUB_I2C_SDA works normally
(R2215&R2216)
• Check MIPI interface has driven to HS voltage (70~330mV)
IF not check SOC / connector / 0ohm MIPI resistor SMT
• Reheat or replace AG620/SOC/SUB Cam connector (CON2202)

Trouble Shooting – 3G iCatch Fail

• Check DDIO_ISP_1P8 has 1.8V supply (R2305)


• Check AVDD_ISP_2P8 has 2.8V supply (U2303)
• Check VDD_ISP_1P2 has 1.2V supply (C2304)
• Check CAM_MCLK_ISP 19.2MHz clock (R2301)
• Check CAM_ISP_SUSPEND has driven to 1.8V (R2310)
• Check CAM_ISP_RESET# has driven to 1.8V (R2309)
• Check I2C1_CAM_SDA/I2C1_CAM_SCL works normally
(R403&R404)

Trouble Shooting – Headset Fail
L/R Channel No Output
• Check headphone jack (CON1201) works properly
• Insert headphone, check if HEADSET_DET is pulled low (R1214)
• Check HPOUTR2/HPOUTL2 has output (R1209&R1211)
• For Recording, Check if VUMIC has 2.2V supply (C1223)
• Check MICP2_CONN has output (C1226)

Trouble Shooting – BroadMIC Fail

• Check AMIC(U1201) works properly


• Check AMIC_IN_P_CONN&AMIC_IN_N_CONN has signal input
• Check VMIC has 2.2V supply R1202
• Check whole Path SMT is ok, for example On PR (L1201
&L1203) has Component Shift, after re-work is ok.

Trouble Shooting – Speaker Fail

• Check Speaker is properly assembled (Often disconnect)


• Replace Speaker and check if the failure is fixed
• Check speaker cable routing not on screw hole, PR has some
devices cable is short-circuited by real case screw lock.
• Check SPK_OUT_R+_CON & SPK_OUT_R-_CON has signal
output (C1312 & C1304)
• Check EPP_R & EPN_R has signal input (R1303)
• Check AMP_PVDD is 3.4V~4.2V (R1312)
• Check Speaker connector SMT (CON1301)
• Reheat or replace AG620 (U901)

Trouble Shooting – Side Key Fail
• Check Side-Key FPC is properly assembled
• Press key pad and check
VOLUME_UP_CONN/VOLUME_DOWN_CONN/PWRBTN_R
pulled low (T1701~T1703)
• Release Key pad and check
VOLUME_UP_N/VOLUME_DOWN_N/ drives to 1.8V
• Release Key pad and check PWRBTN_R drives to VSYS Replace
Side-Key FPC and check if problem fixed
• For PWRBTN check invertor Q1701 SMT ok

Trouble Shooting – No Boot (1)

• Check if battery voltage (CON9601) is higher than 3.4V


• Use Power Supply to check Current seeking is normal during
Boot up
• Check if VSYS has voltage output (Charger:PU8101)
• Check if AG_RST is driven to VDD_CORE (R514),
XG_RESET_OUT_N is driven to 1.8V (R515)
• Check if each power domain output normally
• Mechanically turn off the device, and check if any power
domain is short to GND
• Check XG_CLK32K_IN Soc input has 32Khz (T1001)
• Check SYS_CLK Soc input has 26Mhz (R7104)
• Try to re-mount SOC (U401) 27
Trouble Shooting – No Boot (2)

• Press power key to turn on the device, connect device to PC


through USB, check if “Intel SOC” present in Device Manager,
which means device has Mount
• Try to re-download image
• Treat it as eMCP fail issue

• How to force device enter Recovery Mode:


– Volume up + Power Key synchronously

Trouble Shooting – USB Fail

• Check VCC_IO_3V3 has 3.0 supply (C2006)


• USB_DPDN_SEL_R is low when usb plug in
• Check L2001 for usb connector path SMT & L2002 for cover
usb path SMT
• Reheat or replace U2001 USB switch for cover & usb
connector path
• Reheat or replace SOC (U401)

Trouble Shooting – Charging Fail

• Plug USB adapter in and check if VBUS on MB side has 5V


supply USB_VBUS (PL8101)
• Check VSYS has voltage output
• Check if VBATT_CONN voltage gradually increases (CON9601)
• Reheat or replace charger (PU8101)
• Check I2C SMT ok, PR8108 & PR8109
• Check SOC_ACOK# is pulled low to 0V from (PR8101)

Trouble Shooting – Gauge Fail

• Check if P_BAT_VDD has 2V output (PC9604)


• Check if P_BAT_SDA/SCL works normally
• Reheat or replace Gauge (PU9601)

• Check VCC_EMMC is 3.0V (PC8303)


• Check V_EMMC_VCCQ is 1.8V (R1504)
• Check eMMC interface works normally 1.8V (R1403&T1401)
• Check EMMC_RST# has driven to 0V (R1402)
• Reheat or replace eMCP (U1401)
• Reheat or replace SOC (U401)

Trouble Shooting – SD Card Fail

• Check SD Card (CON1901) works properly


• Insert SD card, check if SDMMC_CD# is pulled low(R1901)
• Check if SD_PWR_EN is driven to 1.8V (PR8306)
• Check SDMMC_CMD is driven to 1.8V (R1902)
• Check VDD_SD has 3.0V supply (PR8304)
• Check SDMMC_D0~3& CLK interface works
normally(R1902~R1906)
• Reheat or replace SOC (U401)

Trouble Shooting – SIM Card Fail

• Check SIM Card (CON2101) works properly


• Insert SIM Card, Check SIM1_DET pulled low (R2102)
• Check if VSIM1 has 1.8V supply (C504)
• Check if UIM interface works normally
(SIM1_IO/CLK/RST)(R2101/R2104)
• Reheat or replace AG620 & SOC (U901/U401)

Trouble Shooting – Hall Sensor Fail

• Check VSD_1V8 input to Hall sensor is 1.8V (C1607)


• Check if HALL_IRQ# works normally - pulled high to 1.8V and
pulled low when magnet close to hall sensor (C1606)
• Replace the hall sensor (U1605)

Trouble Shooting – e-Compass+Gsensor Fail

• Check SENSOR_1V8 is 1.8V (R1621)


• Check SDA_A+M/SCL_A+M works normally (R1610, R1609)
• Check SDO for address select is driven to 1.8V (R1602)
• Check IC SMT(U1601)
• Reheat or replace SOC (U401)

Trouble Shooting – Proximity & Light Sensor Fail

• Check SENSOR_1V8 is 1.8V (R1621)


• Check VCC_IO_3V3 is 3.0V (PR8303)
• Check SDA_P+ALS/SCL_P+ALS works normally (R1617, R1616)
• Proximity fail Check LED1601 SMT (command :adb shell echo
1 > /sys/bus/i2c/devices/4-001c/psensor) LED should be
aways on
• Replace Sensor P & light sensor(U1602)
• Adb Logcat could see how much K value get from P sensor, if
cross talk is 1023 = Rubber issue, 0 =LED SMT problem

Trouble Shooting –Vibrator Fail

• Check VIB & VSS_PMU_VIB normal work (C1803, R1803)


• Check VIB connector (CON1801)
• Reheat or Replace AG620 (U901)
