1. Readiness of teachers and students
2. Internet availability of the parents and teachers
3. The risk in teaching Face to Face to our learners
4. Risk mitigation measures among schools and communities
5. Learner’s access to distance learning

3. Does the implementation of policy address the problem for which it was
created? If it doesn't, what's next step is being planned?:

 It is formulated with the presence of our dear parents, stakeholders

and teachers. And it was presented in the barangay with presence of
the barangay captain and barangay councils.

Report your findings in class.

B. Do a simulation. One of you plays the role of a school head. Three will be teacher
representatives, 4 will be officers of the Parent Teachers Association, 4 are barangay
officials, 4 are other members of the community falumni, NGO representative,
Church representative) and 3 student leaders.

The problem in school is malnutrition. Many kids are sleepy, malnourished

and are underperforming. This is true most especially for kids who walk to school 1
hour from home. They eat their baon upon arrival in school so no more to eat for
lunch. As a result, they are restless and inattentive and so poor performance.

You are the school head. Preside in the meeting. What policy will you
formulate to address the problem?

 You can start the speech with appropriate greetings for example "Good
day everyone, it is a pleasure to speech in front of you all, I just want to
talk about the kind of student-leadership does the Philippines need today.
(then start the speech)
 Leaders-our nation is hungry for them. From kids who are leading their
siblings and classmates to high-level executives and political figures, we
always need people to step-up and take on responsibility. And they as
teachers, they teach students to thrive in the world of their future. To that
end, they also invest in encouraging students to become the kind of
leaders this world wants and needs.

As a student leader, you have the opportunity to develop skills that will

prepare you for success in school, college and life. Besides being
personable and opinionated, as a student government official, be sure the
ideals that got you elected are consistent throughout policymaking,
planning, etc. and remember to always stay true to yourself and the
values you believed in. Leaders should be an example and be inspired by
his led; hardwork is contagious. If one student is working hard and shows a
true passion for the subject they'll inspired others to believe that they, too,
can strive for excellence. In short, hardworking student leaders inspire and
push their classmates to do more. They should believe that whatever goal
has been set can be accomplished even it may seen insurmountable. A
leader should also know when and how to allocate respontibility to those
around wiling to go above and beyond to get it done. Their confidence
inspires positivity in others and if something goes wrong, students leaders
should not pass the blame or make excuses but take responsibility for
their part. Then, they learn from it, do what is needed to correct, what
went wrong and keep moving forward. When it comes to success, student
leaders/leaders are more likely to be humble and recognize the efforts of
their groupmates and not just their own. Student leaders should also
recognize that everyone has strengths and weakness. They affirm and
utilized the strengths in their group while also assisting in the areas of
weakness and also must know how to evaluate a given situation and come
to a well-reasoned conclusion about the best course of action. Eventually,
good decision making stems from a high sense of responsibility, a strong
sense of direction, the ability to think quickly under pressure. Be prepared
for the worst, take responsibility for the outcome and stay optimistic. A
quality leader learns from experience and proactively plans for future.
 Although students may be young and even though they are small, they
can still be great leaders in the future. With every oppurtunity and
incentive to grow their skills in a healthy, productive and appropriate
direction, students can become the great, effective leaders our world
neads. Give them opportunities and encouragement to be a good student
leaders.
The other members of the class who are not involved in the simulation are
observers and evaluators. They will be asked to comment on the simulation at the
end of the activity. Here are the specific criteria:

1. participation of the group - Was there an active participation of the group?

 call on non-volunteers, not students with their hands raised.

time before calling on a student.place the student's name at the end of
the question.allow the students to answer your questions by not
answering them yourself.
2. school head - How open was the school head, the presider, to ideas or
suggestions shared? What did she do to encourage everyone to participate?

 By letting them show and know the importance and the benefits of
this school activities. In that case, they will be encourage to do some
school stuffs.

3. decision-making- Was the decision arrived at by a consensus?

 For me, it means that we should respect the other people's opinions
and ideas, because however, even if it is not nice for you, or you are
not with it, the opinion and ideas are still opinions and ideas. Opinions
are just opinions, and ideas are just ideas, the best way to collaborate
with opinions and ideas is to respect, even if this is okay, or not okay.
Every people makes mistakes, in short, no one is perfect but everyone
deserves to receive respect.

"No one is perfect, but everyone deserves to receive respect"

The purpose of this article is to describe a step-by-step process for

decision making, and a model is developed to aid health care
managers in making more quality decisions, which ultimately
determines the success of organizations. The DECIDE model is
intended as a resource for health care managers when applying the
crucial components of decision making, and it enables managers to
improve their decision-making skills, which leads to more effective
decisions.
4. respect - Was respect of ideas and participants evident?

 As a student, I showed my active participation at home by teaching my

younger sisters about their topic.

C. If you were to formulate a policy on food items sold at the Cooperative Store of
your school, which would you do as a school head? Why?

 Not only that, the banning of the selling of the junk food also
believable to improve the student's behaviour The canteen should sell
healthy food at school because it will make the children healthy and so

if they don't eat health food it will make them sick then they can not
come to school.

Let's Check for Understanding

1. Why are policies important in a school?

 Policies are also important because they help a school establish model
operating procedures and create standards of quality for learning and
safety, as well as expectations and accountability.

2. List down at least 2 school policies (one from Central Office and another from
the school level.) Explain the purpose behind the policy.

Bullying Policy- no bullying to school cause you've might hurt each

other when your going to fight.
 Cell Phone Policy - cellphones are banned in class because they are
still in class
Let's Reflect

What is my attitude towards school policies? Do I welcome them?

 My attitude toward school policy is to Behave and Respect you'r

teacher's and to study hard because when you don't study hard your
grade will failed and if you study hard your grades
is success.

Taking it to the Net

1. Research on School Policies on attendance, tardiness, uniform, ID special

examinations. Know the why behind the policies.

 ATTENDANCE & TARDINESS

We understand how hectic it can be getting out the door in the morning; however, it is important
for all students to be in school and on time everyday. Instruction in the classroom begins at
8:05 a.m. All students should line up in their student lines on the playground by 7:55 a.m. The
second bell rings at 8:00 am and each class proceeds to the room. If you bring your child to
school after 8:10 a.m., he or she is tardy and must enter through the front office to be admitted
into class. Tardiness is not a trait we want our students to develop, and entering a classroom
habitually late is impolite, interrupts the morning routine, and deprives all students of valuable
class time. IDs are important for safety and security. Everyone knows at a glance who is “official” and it
is a quick way for emergency personnel who may not be familiar with our students to know who is who
in an emergency situation. It helps to identify who belongs where. We want to provide a safe and orderly
environment to foster student learning, and the ID badges will assist in the security of everyone on
campus.
