An intransitive verb is an action verb that does NOT require the addition of a direct object or indirect
object to complete its meaning. Most intransitive verbs can also be used as transitive verbs,
especially when the direct object or indirect object can be inferred. The main difference between most
transitive and intransitive verbs is the different use of the very same word. Most of these words can
be used intransitively more easily in some verb conjugations yet still be used transitively in others.
