What is Numerology?
Numerology is a very powerful and insightful system into understanding daily life. Not only can you
utilize the wisdom, messages and signs from numerology, but you can also learn about your
passions and desires, fears and worries, beliefs and inner workings, and general or holistic outlook
on life. Being attuned to the recurring numbers in your life greatly assists in understanding,
acknowledging and integrating key themes showing up. The universe is always sending us signs and
messages for those with eyes to see, ears to hear, hearts to feel and intuition to sense. Numerology is
a belief in the divine or mystical relationship between numbers and coinciding events, feelings and

Life Path Number

Your Life Path number is not only the most important of the core numbers, it's the most important
number in your whole Numerology chart. It is just as it sounds: a number that represents the path
you are on in this lifetime. It reveals the person you are destined to become and the challenges you
may be faced with in order to learn and grow into that person. Understanding the meaning of your

Your Birthday number is the easiest number to calculate in all your Numerology. In fact, there's no
calculation needed! It is simply the day of the month on which you were born, so it can be any
number 1-31. While double-digit numbers are normally reduced to single digits in Numerology, in
this case, they stay double digits. Every Birthday number carries a different energy that influences a
person's natural gifts. Your number can tell you about a certain talent you are blessed with that is of
great benefit to yourself and the world. This gift is meant to help you on your life path.
 Numerology Overview
Expression Number
Your Expression number, sometimes also referred to as your "Destiny number," influences your
personal strengths and also your challenges. It helps you identify what you're best at and where you
struggle, so you know where to focus your energies. Your Expression number can be any digit 1-9, or
you could have a Master Number 11, 22, or 33 as your Expression. To calculate your Expression
number, also known as your Destiny number, you use all the letters of your full name at birth. Every

 Life Path Number
The most significant number is your Life Path Number (in Chaldean numerology, this is called your
Destiny Number), which provides solid details about your character and the type of life you’ll go on
to live. Your Life Path Number is calculated by adding all the numbers in your birth date together
and getting that sum down to a single digit. There are two ways of doing this (adding across or
reducing down), so we’re going to focus on the method most in use: reducing down.

To find your Life Path Number, simply reduce the digits of your full birth date until you reach a
single-digit number—excluding 11, 22 and 33, which are considered Master Numbers. This number
is your Life Path Number.

Let’s say your birthday is November 11, 1992. To calculate your Life Path Number, you will reduce
each component of this date to a single digit:

The month, 11, is reduced to 1 + 1 = 2.

The date, 11, is reduced to 1 + 1 = 2.

The year, 1992, is reduced to 1 + 9 + 9 + 2. This equals 21. Then, 21 is reduced to 2 + 1 = 3.

Then we add the reduced month, date, and year numbers (2 + 2 + 3) and arrive at 7 (if it were a
double digit, we’d add those two digits together to reach a single digit). So, in this case, your Life
Path Number is 7.

The only time you would NOT reduce the final number is if you get 11, 22 or 33. These are considered
Master Numbers and represent a more intensified take on their root numbers. Master Numbers
suggest a greater potential for success, pitted against greater challenges.
