These present work concerns the construction of a two storey building for MR TAMFU
JULIUS RINYU ;These buildings shall be constructed on a surface area of 680m2 .The
foundation height varies with respect to the slope but the least shall be 60 for the trenches
Descriptive notes
Cleaning and removing of stems and roots of trees, access to the site, positioning of signboard,
and possible construction of a temporary fence
Ø Geometric traffics( from the plan to the ground) and positioning of boards and pegs,
Ø Altitudes ( reference level) defining the datum level.
Control of the measurements with existing limits and levels for the evacuation networks
1.3 Earthwork
Cleaning off the vegetable soil from the surface area that the construction will occupy. This earth
will be stocked temporarily for future usage. Thickness of 30cm depending on the site condition.

Seismic disposition for seismic, the structure has to act as single unit ( solid concrete slab).
A 15cm thick slab in oversite concrete with a mesh of 6 and spacing 20cm x 20cm. This
concrete will lay on a damp proof membrane constituted of a polythene film. A layer of sharp
sand is spread before this DPC to prevent the capillary uprising. A net work of cable for
electricity and telephone will be embedded in die slab where necessary.

Traditional frame work is iroko wood of category one with a degree of humidity of 17.5percent
and volume weight of 750kg/m3 is recommended for the roof framework and treated with
fungicide and insecticide. The constituted elements have the following sections,

1.9 Joinery
External joineries: the chosen wood must be adapted to the joinery and on accordance
with the norms concerning the tropical woods and degree of humidity 17percent. This wood
must be treated fungicides and insecticides. the joinery in wood includes all frames of external
doors. The windows will be of glass and the frames may be in wood or in aluminum depending
upon the cost.
Internal joineries: the wood for internal joinery should have a degree of humidity is 15
percent, sliding doors for the wardrobes and the plain doors for toilet. The frames are in massive
wood . All skirting, architraves, pictures railing and ceiling frames will be in wood.
1.10 Painting
The Painting Work Will Be Done In Accordance With the DTU No 59-1. Washable air paint on
the interior walls. vanish of type Cellulosique for ceiling, wardrobe and doors.
1.11 Electricity
The electricity facilities will be in accordance with the DTU no 70-1. The relative works to
electricity in the house concerning the general connection. these are ,

Ø Lighting appliances
Good quality materials will be used. Water supply will be done with copper and pressurized PVC
pipes. Draining pipes and ventilation in P.V.C, here we have the option for individual wastewater
handling according to DTU 64-1 which define the conditions to be respected
Ø Primary treatment of wastewater and foul water ( septic tank or micro station with
activated sludge).
Ø Purification of the pre-treated effluent ( underground, sand filter)
Ø The evacuation sewages ( underground and soak away)
1.13 Coating
Ceramic tiles of 20 x 20 on the walls of toilets up to a height of 1.80m from the floor level and
equally on the toilet floor. on the verandas and other rooms will receive ceramic tiles of 40 x 40
and 30 x 30. The yard will be with pavement stones and with lawns
1.14 Fence
The foundation is consisted of continues footing ( 50 x 30). Foundation wall with blocks of 20 x
20 x 40 with isolated pad under the columns. The wall will be in blocks of 10 x 20 x 40 with
spacing of the columns 300m to 400m axial distance.
