PRESENT SIMPLE
Cum le regăsești: go, read, work, drink

Persoana a-III a – sg: He She primesc -s sau -es | goes, reads, works, drinks
Do you like coffee?

III, sg: Does your mom like coffee?
I don’t love coffee.
III, sg: He doesn’t love coffee.
Se utilizează:
- Când acțiunea are loc în general, de obicei: – generally, usually, every day,
every week, every year
Ex: I generally go to school.
My mother goes to work every day.
- În stațiile de tren, autobuz, tramvai etc. pt. plecări si sosiri, pt. un orar stabilit:
Ex: The train arrives in 10 minutes.
The plane takes off in 10 minutes.
- Pentru adevăruri general valabile:

Ex: Jupiter is the biggest planet.
Water boils at 100 degrees.
- În comentariile sportive, în reclame:

Ex: Here comes Mutu! He kicks the ball!

PRESENT CONTINUOUS
To be (present) + vb-ing
I am Exemple:
You are ----------------------------------
He/she/it is She is reading a book now.
We are I'm reading a book now.
You are Are you reading a book?
They are They aren't reading now.
Se utilizează:
- Când acțiunea se întâmplă acum, în momentul vorbirii sau pentru o scurtă
perioadă de timp: ( now | at the moment | this week | this month | this
year)
Ex: I'm having a test paper this week.
I'm going to the cinema today.
I'm learning Spanish this year.
- Când acțiunea este planificată în viitorul apropiat:

Ex: I'm going to the seaside at the weekend.
I'm visiting my grandma next week.
- Când acțiunea îl deranjează pe vorbitor:

Ex: You are always talking during my class!
You are always listening to loud music, I can't sleep!

PRESENT PERFECT SIMPLE
Have (present) + vb3 (la participiu)
I have lived
You have lived
He/She/It has lived
We have lived
You have lived
They have lived
I have lived here for 10 years.
Se utilizează:
- Când acțiunea a început în trecut și continuă sau are urmări până în prezent:
Ex: I have washed my car and now it's shining.
- ( for ) de cat timp?

Ex: I have watched TV for 2 hours.
- ( since ) cand a inceput actiunea?

Ex: I have known her since childhood
- ( never, ever, just, yet, lately, recently)

Ex: I have never visited Italy.
Have you ever been to Spain?
He has just arrived.
I haven't done my homework yet.
Have you seen John lately?

PRESENT PERFECT CONTINOUS
Have been + vb -ing
Se utilizează:
- Când acțiunea a inceput in trecut si continua pana in prezent:
Ex: I have been cleaning my house all day.
My dad has been working in the garden all morning.
I have been driving for 3 hours.
PAST SIMPLE
Vb -ed, vb2
I watched TV last night.

Did you watch TV last night? Did you go to school yesterday?
I didn't go to school
yesterday.
Se utilizează:

- Când acțiunea a avut loc intr-un moment din trecut: (yesterday, last week, last
month, last year, a week ago, a month ago, a year ago, on Monday)
PAST CONTINOUS
TO BE (trecut) + vb -ing
I was
You were
He/She/It was
We were
You were
They were
Se utilizează:
- Când acțiunea se află în continuă desfășurare într-un moment din trecut:
Ex: I was reading when you phoned me.
I was sleeping while my mom was cooking.
Yesterday, at this time I was watching TV.
They were gossiping when I entered.
Se foloseste deseori when si while! Trebuie sa vedem care este prima actiune, iar
aceea are past continous.
PAST PERFECT SIMPLE

(mai mult ca perfectul)
Had + vb3
I had already eaten when you phoned me.
Se utilizează:

- Când acțiunea începuse și se încheiase înaintea altei acțiuni din trecut:
Ex: I had already eaten when you phoned me.
PAST PERFECT CONTINOUS

Had been + vb ing
I had been driving for 2 hours when I finally arrived in Bucharest.
(Condusesem de 2 ore când am ajuns în Bucuresti)
FUTURE TENSE SIMPLE

Will + vb
În propoziția circumstanțială de timp, în engleză NU se pune viitorul (will, won't,

would, wouldn't)
I will come to you when I have time.
Se utilizează:

- Când acțiunea va avea loc in viitor:
- Când fac o predicție despre viitor: I will be a good policewoman.
- Când fac o promisiune: I will help you.
- Când facem o amenințare: You will be punished!
FUTURE TENSE CONTINOUS

Will be + vb -ing
Tomorrow, at this time, I will be driving to Bucharest.

(Mâine, pe vremea aceasta, voi conduce spre Bucureşti.)
Se utilizează:
- Când acțiunea va fi in continuă desfășurare într-un moment din viitor.
FUTURE PERFECT SIMPLE (viitorul anterior)

Will have + vb3
By 2030 they will have discovered a new medicine.

(Până în 2030 vor fi descoperit un medicament nou.)
By the time I arrive home they will have finished homework.

(Până când voi ajunge acasă, ei îşi vor fi terminat temele.)
FUTURE PERFECT SIMPLE

Will have been + vb -ing
By the time I arrive home they will have been sleeping for 2 hours.
(Până când voi ajunge acasă ei vor fi dormind de 2 ore.)
