I. Definition of Terms

a. Efficiency means that the task done in the workplace is being accomplished with
the minimum time and effort required in order for such task to be carried out
accordingly. This is relevant to the operations that are happening in an
organization as being efficient shows a competent and reliable employee doing a
reliable job that is in line with his or her skills, crunching more time and effort on
other tasks which may render a working day more productive that it goes
intended.
b. Effectiveness define as a term that showcase talents and skills that an employee
in an organization possesses wherein those attributes are providing a positive
impact in the tasks provided in a job that can be develop further in order to
achieve a goal or an objective that an organization or an entity needs to attain
which makes it relevant.
c. Systems Approach is defined as a study of the organization as a whole in which
its sub-units are inter-dependent and inter-related to each other in which each
employee or unit/group in an organization are working on their respective task
that helps attain the goals of the organization as a whole, giving its significant
relevance in the workplace.
d. Globalization is a business trending process that an organization expands from
its local market up to the international arena, increasing its scale of operations
further that it caters clients and customers of different nations and culture,
emphasizing its relevance to the organization’s overall growth.
e. Anti-Sexual Harassment is a enacted law that protects women and men in the
organization against unlawful sexual harassment that affirms the human dignity
and equal rights that is needed in an organization which is relevant as it upholds
the development of human resources which is integral to the operations of the
organization and its aspirations on attaining its goals of enhanced growth and
development.
f. Corporate Social Responsibility is an organizational ethic strategy, policy or
business model that an organization is socially accountable that render its
consciousness on the impact that its operations made in the society, aiming to
enhance the society and environment it interacts, emphasizing its positive
contributions that an organization gives benefit to the society and vice versa.
g. Workplace Spirituality is an essential factor that helps improve trust between
members of the organization with the primary aim of leading it to having a
better and productive workplace that is friendly to each workers, minimizing
negative vibes in the organization and gives value of each employee’s work that
boost their morale.
h. Motivation is a powerful inner energy that drives and excites employees in doing
their job which results to their increased effort and maximized contribution to
the betterment of workplace, showcasing its positivity in which factors like
employee recognition, training and development, goal-setting and
commendations giving that needed inner energy that urges employees to get
their work done.
i. An organization is an entity composed of people that form and work together
with a specific purpose in mind such as catering to their constituents or in
making profits such as in the case of business-related organizations, in which it
has the system with its members having delegated jobs that are specified on his
or her skill that is factored to the attainment of a goal or an objective of an
organization as a whole.
j. Management is the administration that an organization has in which there is the
coordination between employees and units wherein there is the process of
planning, organizing, leading, and controlling the operations within the
organization which is essential and fully relevant to its growth and development
as well as its attainment of objectives and goals it set.
II. Essay

a. The management came with four factors, namely Planning, Organizing, Leading,
and Controlling.
Planning in management involves the creation of plans that are helpful
for organizational goals and objectives which typically involves designating
employee and manpower resources to the intended areas matched with skills
provided, as well as providing material resources and setting up realistic and
achievable timelines needed in attaining an objective that the organization
aspires to take.
Organizing came along with processes that involves planning of getting
the organization to its intended operations in which this functions involves
delegation of tasks between employees with resources at their hands in order to
attain goals and objectives within the projected time period, as well as taking
adjustment on both the delegation of the tasks and timeline adjustments that
sees fit for the efficiency and effectiveness of the organization depending on the
environment and the challenges that arose along the way.
Planning and Organizing will not be possible without another function of
management which is about Leading. This is where team leaders and managers
of the organization give set of instructions or commands to each employee who
gives the direction needed for the members of the organization in getting their
job done in order to achieve the objectives in which this involves effective
communication by issuing memorandums, admin orders, special orders, and the
like.
Finally, to complete the four functions of management, Controlling gives
the assurance for the three aforementioned functions that there is the constant
monitoring of employee performance in which their output is being calculated
for its quality, efficiency and reliability as opposed to the goals set by the
organization which ensures that it adheres to the aims or goals that were set
from planning down to organizing and leading, or if there are improvements to
be made that will enhance the operations of the organization for its betterment.
b. Organizations today operate on the basis that they delegate jobs to their
employees whilst sticking on their plans in order to attain their primary objective
and goals along the way, with some of Henry Fayol’s principles of management
keenly observed and use in organizations today.
