Fredy Orlando Ibáñez
Mexican painter, born in 1907. She created an absolutely personal, naïve, and
deeply metaphorical painting at the same time, derived from her exalted sensitivity
and various events that marked her life. At the age of 18, Frida Kahlo suffered a
serious/severe accident that forced her to undergo a long convalescence, during
which she learned to paint, and which in all probability influenced the formation of
the complex psychological world that is reflected in her works. In 1929 he married;
three years later she suffered an abortion that deeply affected her sensitivity and
inspired two of her most valued works/pieces: Henry Ford Hospital and Frida and
abortion, whose complex symbology is known through the delicate explanations of
the painter herself. In 1938, he mounted his first individual exhibition at the Julien
Levy Gallery in New York. He participated in the International Exhibition of
Surrealism organized in 1940 at the Gallery of Modern Art in Mexico City. She
divorced in this same year to remarry him a year later. From 1950 to 51, she was
hospitalized at the English Hospital. In 1953, faced with the threat of gangrene, his
right leg was amputated. On July 13, 1954, Frida Kahlo dies in her Casa Azul in
Coyoacán, in the capital of Mexico.
