Rajendra Academy For teachers’ Education with the help of Rajendranath College of Polytechnic and
Rajendranath Engineering Private ITI organized a One-day Health Awareness Program under the umbrella of
Rajendranath Group of Institutions. This is a matter of pride for the college that it can facilitate the

increase the level of thinking among the students and staff. The programs are finely crafted under the
guidance of many teachers and experts and above all the College Authority.

Rajendra Academy for Teachers’ Education has always focused on qualitative enhancement. The campus is
eco-friendly and every year the staff and the students together celebrate Tree plantation program with
great responsibility and plant saplings to keep the college campus green and fantastically clean.

Trees cleanse the climate by absorbing carbon dioxide from the environment and releasing oxygen. The
trees cool the environment through their leaves by absorbing the sun heat. Thus, there occurs cooling in
the atmosphere. The trees provide shades to houses and streets.

Trees clean the air by absorbing harmful chemicals such as nitrogen oxide and removing dust particles from
the air by absorbing them in their leaves. Another importance of planting trees is that they save the water
from impurity. Trees stop water pollution by breaking the direct fall of rainfall to the ground. Through trees,
we make furniture and produce materials like books and papers. Trees help to relax and to reduce blood
pressure. Different species of trees also relax the mood of people.
Importance of Tree Plantation
Planting trees is the ideal approach to support nature. It additionally helps other living species, including people, in many
ways. Trees give us oxygen, food, shelter, and many more. They are natural air filters and noise safeguards. Trees are the
earth’s life supportive network. They support and are essential for life on earth. Aside from giving oxygen, trees
additionally work as common safeguards of noise pollution.

The forests do develop naturally. Be that as it may, today, forests are chopped down at a rate more noteworthy than they
could develop. This causes a sort of irregularity, wherein relatively few trees are left to meet our oxygen supply and
different requirements.

Trees are a source of shelter and nourishment for many species, reptiles, and birds. Any place a tree is planted it gives
another lease of life to these species. Trees additionally cause rain and prevent floods. Rajendra Academy for Teachers’
Education, Durgapur inspires students and staff to plant more and more saplings so that they can easily make

One of the recognized purposes behind tree plantation is forestry. Forests are quickly diminishing from the surface of the
earth since people are cutting trees for business purposes. Despite the way that forests develop normally, there is a need
to regrow them at a more noteworthy rate than the rate at which they are destroyed. Aside from improving the bio-
diversity, trees additionally add to the natural beauty of a spot.

Trees planted by the streets and in the parks add to the scenic beauty of the spot. A tree will be there for ages profiting
everyone in its specific manner. If you plant a tree today, at that point, your coming ages will be profited by it—one of the
best future investment to make for your youngsters.
Plantations of trees are important as they improve the life and fulfil essential needs of mankind. During photosynthesis,
the trees breakdown food materials and consume carbon dioxide. Resultantly with the help of sunlight, the trees produce
carbohydrates. Honourable Chairman Sir, Shri Jayanta Kumar Chakrabarty inspires and encourages all students and staff
to take care of the environment by planting more and more trees. Tree plantation is one of the most important and eco-
friendly activities all over the world which is taking place.

Rajendra Academy believes in eco-friendly activities and it promotes tree plantation and the
benefits of planting Trees and maintain an eco-friendly campus Most often we plant trees to
provide shade and beautify our landscapes. These are great benefits but trees also provide other
less obvious benefits.
Benefits of Tree plantation in Social Terms
 Trees make life nicer. It has been shown that spending time among trees and green spaces
reduces the amount of stress that we carry around with us in our daily lives.
 Hospital patients have been shown to recover from surgery more quickly when their
hospital room offered a view of trees.
 Children have been shown to retain more of the information taught in schools if they
spend some of their time outdoors in green spaces.
 Trees are often planted as living memorials or reminders of loved ones or to
commemorate significant events in our lives.

Foremost common goals for organizing the Awareness programs like Tree Plantation

The foremost common goals of those Awareness programs are:

 improve academic skills

 increase college retention
 build self-esteem
 provide role models
 increase parental involvement
 build college and career awareness
 promote college attendance
 increase in aid awareness
Benefits of Tree plantation in Communal Benefits
 Even though you may own the trees on your property your neighbors may benefit from
them as well.
 Through careful planning trees can be an asset to your entire community.
 Tree lined streets have a traffic calming effect, traffic moves more slowly and safely.
 Trees can be placed to screen unwanted views or noise from busy highways.
 Trees can complement the architecture or design of buildings or entire neighborhoods.
Benefits of Tree plantation in Environment
 Trees offer many environmental benefits.
 Trees reduce the urban heat island effect through evaporative cooling and reducing the
amount of sunlight that reaches parking lots and buildings. This is especially true in areas
with large impervious surfaces, such as parking lots of stores and industrial complexes.
 Trees improve our air quality by filtering harmful dust and pollutants such as ozone,
carbon monoxide, and sulfur dioxide from the air we breathe.
 Trees give off oxygen that we need to breathe.
 Trees reduce the amount of storm water runoff, which reduces erosion and pollution in
our waterways and may reduce the effects of flooding.
 Many species of wildlife depend on trees for habitat. Trees provide food, protection, and
homes for many birds and mammals.
Benefits of Tree plantation in Economic Benefits
 Well placed trees can reduce your cooling costs in the summer by shading the south and
west sides of your home. If deciduous trees are used they will allow the sun to pass through
and warm your home in the winter.
 Evergreen trees on the north side of your home and shrubs around the foundation of your
home can act as a windbreak to reduce the cooling effects of winter winds.
 The value of a well landscaped home with mature healthy trees can be as much as 10%
higher than a similar home with no or little landscaping. (Topping will reduce the value of
your trees)
 Some indirect
economic benefits
of trees are that if
we reduce the
energy we use then
utility companies
will have less
demand placed on
the infrastructure,
thus reducing
operating costs
which can be passed
on to the consumer.

Gardening- The activity of gardening is infused in students to make them understand the
importance of planting and gardening. It is the best way to nurture the feeling of
cooperation, teamwork, focus and patience enhancing social skills.

Plantation- Plantation is best way to save environment. Awareness in this connection is

important and efforts required creating in mass. Focus of students for promotion of
plantation is needed to make regular activity of students.
Future plan of Action
Rajendra Academy for Teachers’ Education seeks a certain future plan of action for the
college and its benefits. We are planning not to use non degradable items and products inside
the college campus and discourage the use of plastics and other materials that ruins the
environment and its use. We will be planting more and more trees so that things will be highly
demanding for the next generation. We are going to encourage more and more Go-green
atmosphere in the surroundings. We are looking forward to increase the participants in the
next year more than this year.

Conclusion
Therefore, we conclude that trees should be regularly planted to save the mankind and the
animal world. Tree plantation and its after-care is a pleasing work too. We can get much
pleasure in planting trees and in taking care of them.
The central conclusion from the analysis is that role
of plantation forests, in meeting future wood and
fibre demands, will increase during the next 30
years, irrespective of future rates of plantation
establishment.

Trees in the ground already largely determine wood

supplies from forest plantation for the next decade. In
many countries, a considerable increase in areas of
plantation forests reaching harvestable age will occur.
Beyond 2010, plantation production forecasts are
increasingly dependent on assumptions of new
planting rates, and on assumptions of improvements
in annual increments.

There is scope, depending on policy decisions and markets, for forest plantations to play a
dominant role in industrial wood and fibre supplies. A more likely scenario is that the
proportion of forest plantation-grown wood will increase, but natural forests will continue to
supply a modest majority of industrial round wood.
