4 All the floor openings should be properly covered and
barricaded.
5 Ladders, stairs and other safe access must be
provided.
6 Lifeline is provided for using safety belt.
7 Erection area should be barricaded and warning sign
should be displayed.
8 Guy ropes used to prevent the dangerous swing of the
steel works when being raised or lowered by crane.
9 Anchor the unsupported columns with stay ropes.
10 Use tag lines or jackets for tools.
11 When placing structured members, the load shall not
be released from the hoisting line until the member is
secured by at least 50% bolts at each connection and
tight end
12 Lifting slings shall be as short as possible and gunny
packing shall be provided at the friction points
13 Weight of the heavy items shall be painted on the items
to assist erection engineer to decide about the crane
capacity, boom angle of erection etc.,
14 Suspend the work during heavy winds and lower down
the crane Boom.
