At this manual, the network camera and video network station software version up
procedure is described.
Following in the text, it generically calls a network camera and the video network station
and we are called a target.

1. The preliminary confirmation

1.1. The target model

1.2. The maximum number of the upgrades

1024 Units
But, the number of the maximum simultaneous processing is four.

Note :
Of the version to rise for four channels to become the same version is necessary to SNT-EX104,
SNT-EP104, SNT-EX154, SNT-EP154.

1.3. The preparation

1.3.1. Prepare the following equipment.
- Windows PC (It has installed SNC toolbox).
- The power of the target
- The network-cable (When necessary, it is a hub).
1.3.2. Prepare a firmware file.

1.4. Note (Always, you read).

1.4.1. Before beginning work of the version to rise stable, always operate below.
- Please end all software as browsers and RSM/NSR which are accessing to target.

 - Please restart target by switch the power of target.
- Of the Reboot button of the system-construction screen → initialization tab when a target is installed
in remote
Click and restart a target.
1.4.2. As for the version up line, don't switch off the power of the target by all means.
1.4.3. Log in to the PC of the version which rises by the user who has the authority of Administrator.
1.4.4. Fixed IP address setting is recommended by the IP address of the target. In case of DHCP
setting, the completion of the version up sometimes cannot be confirmed.
1.4.5. In the image memory function of the target, in case of envoy, after making setting off, work in the
version up.
1.4.6. The SSL feature cannot of the version rise in case of setting of SSL when a check isn't "on"
included in "the simultaneous permission of the HTTP connection".Make of the version rise after
putting a check in "permitting HTTP connection at the same time" or making SSL feature
"off".(SSL feature isn't implemented by the Chinese forwarding model.)
1.4.7. Please close the RSM when you use the PC for firmware upgrade.
Please stop the following services at "Control Panel" - "Administrative Tools" - "Services".
- RSM Record Server
- RSM Event Action
Please restart PC when you use RSM again.

2. The version up preparation

2.1. The preparation of the target

According to the establishment manual of the attachment, connect a target and a computer.

2.2. The turning on of the target

Turn on the power of the target.
When a target is installed in remote and a power is already invested, click the Reboot button of the
system-construction screen → initialization tab and restart a target.
The system starts up within about 2 minutes.

3. The execution of the version up by SNC toolbox

3.1. The start-up of SNC toolbox and the search of the target

A target on the identical network segment is searched and is displayed as follows.

3.2.1. The choice of the target which used a search result
Because the pull-down menu like the following opens when clicking and choosing and
right-clicking the target which is dealt with for the version up, it chooses "Firmware Upgrade".
In case of SNT-EX104, SNT-EP104, SNT-EX154, SNT-EP154, because four targets with the
same Serial number are displayed, the target choose all of the four.

 Next, because the device account window opens, enter "Administrator name" and
"Administrator password" and click “OK". The default value is admin/admin.

3.2.2. The choice of the target by the individual subscription
It subscribes the target which is dealt with for the version up to the manual. Because the
pull-down menu like the following opens when right-clicking "My device", it chooses "Add
Device Entry".

 If the following window is displayed, in the name of the target to “Device name”, input an IP
address to "Device address" respectively to "the device name".
Next, enter "Administrator name" and "Administrator password" and click “OK". The
original value becomes admin/admin.

When registration is completed, it is displayed as follows.

Next, it right-clicks “MyDevice_A" and it chooses "Firmware Upgrade".

3.3. The choice and the version up beginning of the firmware file
A file is captured by SNC toolbox when clicking the following "Browse" button and choosing
a firmware file and when the taking-in completes, a firmware file is displayed as follows.
When wanting to take over the setting data which is used by the present target, put a check
in the check box of following "Retain the current setting ".
In case of SNT-EX104, SNT-EP104, SNT-EX154, SNT-EP154, because four targets with the
same Serial number are chosen, four targets are displayed. Because following "Paralleled
upgrade quantity" becomes “4" automatically, make the setting of being just as it is.
It takes over the setting of a target and moreover when preserving a configuration file at the
PC, you put a check in "Backup device setting" (YY : The year, the MM : The moon, DD :
The day, HH : The MM at the time : The minute).
A configuration file is preserved in the following folder.
[Windows 7/ Vista / XP]
The folder :<InstallDir>¥cfg¥<YYMMDDHHMM>
The file name : <MAC address> .cfg
Next, when clicking following "Start Upgrading" button, version up is begun.

3.4. The elapse display of the version up
While the version rises, in "Progress", with the progress bar, "Status" is displayed
respectively as follows with "Uploading".
【Note】
In this condition, don't make a power off by all means.
About 30 minutes by the time the one-target version up completes or it drives.

3.5. The restart after the version up
When the version up completes, a target is restarted and "Status" is displayed as follows
with "Rebooting".

3.6. The version up completion
When the version up completes, "Status" is displayed as follows with “OK". If this display
comes out, close a firmware upgrade window by click the following "Cancel" button.

4. The confirmation of the video
Confirm that it inputs the following URL to the address column in the Web browser and that the
video of the target is displayed.
http:// <the IP address of the target> /

5. The ending of the version up work

When there is a target locally, switch off the power of the target and miss a network-cable, a butt
cable from the target.
