Crit Rate 0.50% Weight 540

Crit Damage 150.00% Accuracy E+

Weakspot Damage 120.00% Requirements 57 STR, 100 DEX

An optical shotgun that defies the norm, Peacock has

proven to be a versatile platform to introduce players to
shotguns yet still having reach that makes this shotgun
particularly easy to use.

Overview
Peacock presents itself as a beginner’s shotgun, and the
stats support this. Optical damage makes it particularly
easy to use on general mobs while boasting favourable
traits like a large ammo capacity and surprisingly long
range for a shotgun, meaning that this weapon is still effective at ranges you’d expect from
slightly more CQC specialised weapons like SMGs.

The weapon as a shotgun however is slightly lacking. Shotguns tend to be about close range
prowess, and Peacock’s per shot damage isn’t the greatest. It is slightly alleviated by its large
pellet count and optical damage dealing more against mechs and lifeforms, but in terms of raw
power, Peacock falls slightly short.

Peacock however excels as a support weapon. Its optical nature, decent range and it being
somewhat cheap on its requirements makes it good to complement as an ArFa's secondary
weapon.

Specific Builds
Most shotguns can use a preset non-crit build and while many shotguns might want “Effective
Range”, Peacock’s range meant that it can forego that chip. Alternatively, you can include “Bullet
Circle Accuracy” to maximise the amount of pellets that connect onto an enemy.

Farm Locations
Drops from S-Type Shotgun Drones which are scattered around the White Frontier. There are
two methods you can use to farm for it. Firstly, one can travel to the south of the overworld to
the ice lake, in which multiple drones can be found at the edges as shown by the red circles
below.

The second method will be using Giga Ivory Shells in the overworld of White Frontier. You can
easily find one in the forest below SBC Abend and the Meteorological Institute Ruins Entrance
denoted by the red star above. Giga Ivory Shells in the White Frontier overworld call in S-Type
Shotgun Drones as reinforcements, so touch the caller a bit and it will start summoning
reinforcements for you to farm Peacocks from.

Both methods have their advantages, the first one warrants no wait time in between running,
whereas the second one ensures an unlimited supply of the drones, provided you don’t kill the
Giga Ivory Shell.
Godsbreath+
Damage Type Physical Firing Action Pump Action

Base DMG (95-105%) 3130-3460 (x5) Ammo Type Shotgun Shells

Chip DMG (95-105%) 4741-5240 (x5) Ammo Capacity 8

Overclock 3624 (x5) Rate of Fire (RPM) 58

Chip Overclock 5490 (x5) Effective Range 9.0

Crit Rate 0.50% Weight 960

Crit Damage 150.00% Accuracy E

Weakspot Damage 105.00% Requirements 127 STR, 97 DEX

Based on the Remington 870 Wingmaster, this is the

truest definition of a shotgun, big damage close up and
piss all damage at even mid range.

Overview
Godsbreath is your stereotypical shotgun, massive
damage up close but amounts to jack shit at even
medium range. Dealing the single highest per shot
damage out of any shotgun in its class combined with
its high pellet count means that this shotgun can
reliably kill most mobs with a well placed shot to the enemy’s weakspot.

However its other stats aren’t as good as its damage. Poor weakspot damage combined with an
abysmal effective range of 9.0, the lowest range among any non-sword weapon in the game
means you have to be up-close and personal to an enemy to deal the damage. Not to mention
its piss poor accuracy means you have to kinda waste memory chip slots for “Effective Range”
and “Bullet Circle Accuracy” to maximise the potential of this shotgun. Plus this weapon is a bit
on the heavier side, so mobility builds have some small issues fitting this gun should you run
low STR in your builds.

This gun is however the closest you could get to a powerful, satisfying shotgun. And as long as
you play smart in closing the gap, this shotgun deals one of the highest damage per shot in the
entire game excluding snipers and their weakspot damage.
Specific Builds
Godsbreath has shit range and accuracy so to maximise its potential, using the preset non-crit
build plus “Effective Range” and “Bullet Circle Accuracy” could mean the difference. You can
elect other chips if you are however willing to take the risk.

Verdict - Borderline Strong/Average

Farm Locations
What could be the easier way to get Godsbreath is to go through BoB:S Grandmaster Class.
Shooting Star in Round 2 drops them and he makes his presence known in that round full of
shotgun tapping shenanigans by dual-wielding them, so be advised. It’s hard.

If you can’t handle their heat, I don’t blame you either. Thankfully, Lost Gate has a treasure box
before Midpoint 1 that has a Godsbreath inside; located below. There are 2 catches however.
Firstly, you cannot backtrack from Midpoint 1 because the door will be locked. Secondly, you
will be greeted by a Shady Venomhorn as soon as you open the box, so square up for him.

Lastly, should you desire for some reason to use Abyssal Dungeon for farming, Last Judgement
on the final floor (50F) guarantees a drop once you kill him.
Valkyrie MK4
Damage Type Physical Firing Action Semi Auto

Base DMG (95-105%) 2123-2347 (x4) Ammo Type Shotgun Shells

Chip DMG (95-105%) 3216-3554 (x4) Ammo Capacity 7

Overclock 2458 (x4) Rate of Fire (RPM) 120

Chip Overclock 3723 (x4) Effective Range 10.5

Crit Rate 0.50% Weight 875

Crit Damage 150.00% Accuracy E+

Weakspot Damage 110.00% Requirements 118 STR, 63 DEX

Based on the Benelli M3 Kromo, the Valkyrie trades the

damage of hard hitting pump action shotguns for rapid
follow-up shots, leading to more spread-out consistent
damage.

Overview
Despite dealing less damage per shot, Valkyrie is a
consistent shotgun with its fast fire rate. Dual-wielding
the shotgun nets a particularly high DPS overall for
Valkyrie as it fires more rapidly in general, plus the more
shots fired means that the damage stream is far more consistent than the pump action
shotguns damage.

Valkyrie however is still marred by the standard disadvantages of the shotgun; very low range,
low weakspot damage and it being rather inaccurate means that both “Effective Range” and
“Bullet Circle Accuracy” would be needed to bring Valkyrie up to its full potential. Not only that,
dual-wielding this gun requires 236 STR, a rather hefty investment especially on a stat that
offers little in return.

Overall this shotgun excels at a consistent output of damage over the high burst damage
expected of most shotguns.

Specific Builds
Similar to Godsbreath, the preset non-crit build along with the optional “Effective Range” and
“Bullet Circle Accuracy” chips to maximise its potential.

Verdict - Borderline Strong/Average

Farm Locations
Two places you can farm Valkyries. First place you can get them is in the Meteorological
Institute Ruins, dropped by S-Type Recon Automatons. While there is no definitive easy way to
get to them, they are scattered around in between the entrance and Midpoint 1 of the
dungeon.

Another place you could get them is, again BoB:S Grandmaster Class. Both Lisbeth and Brown
Butter Onigiri that spawn in Round 2 drop them should you succeed in killing them. Not only
they are guaranteed at least 6-chip epics, killing both of them nets you 2 Valkyries and thus 2
chances you could get a good Valkyrie. Don’t expect it to be smooth sailing as Round 2 is
particularly unpleasant to fight in.
Pandora 87 MK2
Damage Type Physical Firing Action Pump Action

Base DMG (95-105%) 2861-3163 (x4) Ammo Type Shotgun Shells

Chip DMG (95-105%) 4334-4790 (x4) Ammo Capacity 15

Overclock 3313 (x4) Rate of Fire (RPM) 66

Chip Overclock 5019 (x4) Effective Range 12.5

Crit Rate 0.50% Weight 685

Crit Damage 150.00% Accuracy E

Weakspot Damage 110.00% Requirements 86 STR, 87 DEX

Based on the UTS-15, the Pandora is the only other

pump action shotgun of the game, trading away raw
damage for general usability in return.

Overview
Pandora 87 has favourable traits compared to your
standard shotgun, lending well to its usability. It has
decent range (for a shotgun), relatively lightweight and
cheap on stats along with a generous ammo capacity
that lessens the need to reload, in which its reload is slightly longer than usual.

However, Pandora as a shotgun is rather lacking. Despite the base damage being only slightly
lower than Godsbreath, it only fires 4 pellets to Godsbreath’s 5. This harms its damage potential
as a shotgun and coupled with its slow fire rate thanks to it being a pump action shotgun,
damage on this shotgun isn’t nearly as explosive like Godsbreath and neither is it as consistent
as the other shotguns.

Specific Builds
Like most shotguns, the preset non-crit build can be applied here. However, Pandora’s effective
range is particularly decent, lessening the need for range chips. As such you can consider “Bullet
Circle Accuracy” to tighten its spread and maximise the damage output, although electing
“Effective Range” on this shotgun isn’t necessarily bad either.

Verdict - Average
Farm Locations
The easiest method to get a Pandora is to kill Giga Ivory Shells. They appear around White
Frontier, but you can easily find one in the overworld, in the forest south of Meteorological
Institute Ruins entrance as shown below.

Kill the Giga Ivory Shell at the circle and run back and forth between it and SBC Abend entrance,
which should be enough distance to respawn the shell after killing it. Do note that Giga Ivory
Shell also drops a Dragon Killer 2, so ensure you check the drops before exiting.

An alternative method is also using BoB:S Grandmaster Class, as both Argo and Yuna drop
Pandoras. While they both share a spawn, either one of them is guaranteed to appear in Round
2 and drop at least a 6-chip epic for you. Just a heads up, Round 2 in this difficulty is quite
infamous (as if I haven’t mentioned it enough already).
Royal Guard MK3+
Damage Type Physical Firing Action Full Auto

Base DMG (95-105%) 763-844 (x3) Ammo Type Shotgun Shells

Chip DMG (95-105%) 1155-1278 (x3) Ammo Capacity 20

Overclock 884 (x3) Rate of Fire (RPM) 360

Chip Overclock 1339 (x3) Effective Range 12.5

Crit Rate 12.00% Weight 1120

Crit Damage 150.00% Accuracy E

Weakspot Damage 110.00% Requirements 118 STR, 105 DEX

Based on the USAS-12, the Royal Guard is the first

shotgun in the game to be fully automatic, along
with introducing the very first critical based
shotgun in the game.

Overview
Royal Guard as a shotgun doesn’t fit the usual
shotgun category, while it has the short range as
expected of one, its per shot damage is the lowest
within its class. Coupled with a hefty stat
requirement, weight and its inaccuracy making
this weapon somewhat cumbersome to use.

Its real strength comes from two things, rate of fire and its critical stats. While 360 RPM sounds
low for a full auto weapon, it being a shotgun that fires 3 pellets at once means that its actual
fire rate is around 1080 RPM, which is comparable to gatlings. Combined with its generous crit
rate, this shotgun can dish out alarmingly high amounts of damage in a short period of time.
The 20 round capacity at the slightly low auto fire rate means that reloads aren’t as frequent as
you’d expect of a shotgun, despite it being rather long.

Despite its advantages, its nature as a shotgun does curb its effectiveness overall. All in all, this
weapon is best treated as an SMG-shotgun hybrid that favours lots of continuous run-and-gun
tactics.
Specific Builds
This weapon is admittedly tricky to build properly, due to its nature as a crit weapon. While you
can include the preset crit-build to take advantage of this weapon’s crit rate, the final slot will be
a difficult one to choose from. Personally I’d elect “Bullet Circle Accuracy” to mitigate its poor
accuracy, but I also encourage you to build this weapon to suit your preferences.

Verdict - Borderline Strong/Average

Farm Locations
Royal Guard is a DLC 3 weapon only obtainable in 2 ways. The first and fastest way to gain this
weapon is to travel to Lost Gate Depths to tackle Behemoth-MT13, which is found in the
teleporter at the lower section of the area. Killing it will net either a Pandemonium III or the
said shotgun, but be warned that the gatling gun will appear more frequently than the shotgun,
so patience. Also you will need to clear the DLC 3 storyline to unlock said teleporter.

The other method is to tackle Defensive Battle Level 8 for a chance to get it out of the 5 possible
drops in it. I don’t recommend this however due to the massively diluted drop pool of that
specific game mode.
Holy Arrow MK3+
Damage Type Optical Firing Action Semi Auto

Base DMG (95-105%) 843-932 (x7) Ammo Type Shotgun EP

Chip DMG (95-105%) 1277-1411 (x7) Ammo Capacity 30

Overclock 976 (x7) Rate of Fire (RPM) 90

Chip Overclock 1478 (x7) Effective Range 45.0

Crit Rate 8.00% Weight 660

Crit Damage 150.00% Accuracy D+

Weakspot Damage 150.00% Requirements 76 STR, 116 DEX

No, I didn’t misplace this gun, you are indeed looking

at a shotgun here. An oddball “shotgun” with equally
odd traits makes what is possibly the most interesting
weapon in the game.

Overview
At glance, this “shotgun” looks a bit weak. Despite the
massive 7 pellet count per shot its base damage is
rather low, only beating out the Royal Guard in that
department. It does have rather decent critical stats
and weakspot damage (the highest in its class) so that this shotgun at glance looks a bit like a
critical based shotgun that emphasises players targeting weakspots in this case.

That is until you look at its effective range. 45.0 effective range puts it at sniper rifle territory,
giving this gun massive reach to boot. Combined with its higher than average weakspot,
decently slow rate of fire and a surprisingly high accuracy for a shotgun (the D+ is very
misleading) means that true to its description, it is a sniper-shotgun hybrid designed to tackle
units for afar.

Yet with its advantages, it is somewhat unsuitable to actually tackle such distances. Not only is
there projectile speed in this game, optical weapons have some of the slowest projectile speeds
in this game, hampering its supposed long range ability severely. It however has an incredible
niche with its long range capability; a support weapon. The massive range means that it can
dish out its skills to assist teammates from afar, with its lightweight and incredibly redundant 30
round capacity leans it very much towards the supporting role.

In conclusion, Holy Arrow’s use is two-fold; either a funky mid-long range shotgun or as a utility
support weapon for players/ArFa’s.

Specific Builds
Holy Arrow like Ordinal Ray can have two builds, the damage focused or the support focused
build. The damage build can use the crit preset whereas the support build can use the non-crit
preset with supporting chips like “Effective Range” and “Medal Gauge Increase” can be added
in.

Similar to Ordinal Ray, one can hybridize two builds to create a flexible all-in-one weapon should
you desire.

Verdict - Borderline Strong/Average

Farm Locations
Holy Arrow is a DLC 4 weapon that can only be found via Assault Drone G’s (the golden drones)
that make scattered, randomised appearances throughout the Meteorological Institute Ruins.
While there are multiple places it can have a chance to spawn at, the perhaps easiest way to get
it is by fast travelling Midpoint 1.

Before you do so, ensure you have Hawk Eye. Fast travel there, activate Hawk Eye and run
forward into the room full of scorpions and drones with a center box. Once you have done so,
immediately check your radar or look straight through the wall. The golden drone will have
spawned if either;
● 3 red dots with one overlapping dot seen in the center box from the radar. It may be
hard to discern at first, but you can give it time to check if 3 dots emerge from the
drones moving around
● Assault Drone G spawning by looking through the wall

If not, reload from Midpoint 1 and repeat above till it spawns. The drone will drop at least a
guaranteed 6-chip epic but its spawn is somewhat rare, so you might have to repeat this process
dozens of times before it actually appears. So be attentive to your surroundings.
