Documents required
Import declaration. Inventory of the goods detailing contents of all cartons.

Customs Prescriptions
Duty free provided: Goods have been in the owners' possession for a period of no less than 12 months. Items such as clothing need only be used. The 12 months period is not applicable for clothing and personal effects. Duty free entry.

Remarks
Owner must complete Customs declaration in presence of Notary Public. All personal effects shipments are subject to 100% inspection by Customs officers prior to delivery, and by quarantine authorities.

Diplomatic certificate from own Embassy.

New furniture and household items are liable to payment of customs duty and levy.

No exemption allowed in Customs tariff. Duty and levy applicable. These articles, whenever included in a household removal, are liable to payment of customs duty and levy and must be separately declared on the import declaration.

Precious metal objects

Motor cars, motor cycles, mopeds

Customs declaration. Document showing that the vehicle has been in the owner's use and possession abroad for 12 months and must provide proof of ownership and use by original purchase invoice, insurance certificate and maintenance invoices etc.

Duty free entry is allowed on the same basis and under the same conditions as furniture and other articles. Duty free entry if over 12 months old and the vehicles (cars, motor cycles, mopeds) will not be sold or otherwise disposed of for 15 months after the date of importation.
