Crisp and Clear

HEAVY MIX
Formula

www.FrightboxRecordingAcademy.com
After recording and mixing heavy music professionally for over a decade, there’s one thing I know for a
fact:

Achieving a crisp and clear pro-sounding heavy mix ain’t rocket science.

You DON'T need overly-complex mixing "hacks" or techniques..

You DON’T need expensive gear..

You DON'T need fancy plugins..

Save your sanity and money.

Great mixes come from solid techniques and workflows.

NOT FROM GEAR.

All it takes is a basic understanding of fundamental EQ and compression techniques that make an
actual real difference and that's exactly what you’ll be learning within this curated batch of material.

Let's get started!

The Crisp & Clear Heavy Mix Formula is made up of 3 simple components:

1) EQ & Compression Cheat Sheet

This PDF guide is a straightforward mixing cheatsheet that clearly showcases my go-to EQ and
compression settings for each of the main instrument groups that make up most heavy productions.

All mixes are different, but these are great starting points regardless of the source material you're
working with.

Each page in this guide is dedicated to ONE specific instrument at a time.

Clean, simple and to-the-point.

2) Mixing Tutorials

At the bottom of each page, there’s a link to an accompanying private video lesson that showcases
exactly how I’m using each of these mixing techniques in the real world.

You’ll get to watch and hear exactly what these settings do to raw tracks within the mix.

Simply click the link at the bottom of any of the pages and dive into the mix with me on that specific
instrument.

3) Multitrack Download

Under each of the individual video lessons, there’s a download link to the same multitracks that I’m
mixing in that specific lesson.

Simply click the button to download your files and mix along with me!

The quickest way to progress is to put what you’ve learned into immediate action and these multitracks
allow you to replicate what I'm teaching you.
