a) Word processing is best described as an application or computer program used to


create, format, finishing small-sized word processing documents such as letters and other
everyday documents. It introduces the students to the of using a computer to create, edit,
save and print documents.

c) Header - A text placed at the top of a page that does not include footnotes. Headers
can contain information like book titles or author's name.

Footer - Is a text placed at the bottom or foot. The footer is usually the page number.

1.a) Help function - To find answers and browse for topics, open the table of contents.

b) Clipboard - Stores text and graphics that you copy out from anywhere and lets you
paste the stored items into any other office file.

c) Quick Access Toolbar - To access shortcuts to the features, options commands, or


options groups that you use frequently.

d) File button - To open a new presentation, open an existing presentation also contains
the save as commands, print, send or close.

e) Header & Footer - Headers and footers generally contain additional information such
as page numbers, dates, an author's name, and footnotes, which can help keep longer
documents organized and make them easier to read.

f) Zoom tool - Is accessed in the tool option bar and is used to magnify a selected part of
the image and used to fit or fill screen and scrubby zoom.

are task orientated and groups within each tab break a task into subtasks, meaning its
quicker to find commands that you need to complete a task.

4. This function in word allows one to search for target text and replace it with something
else, it is used by selecting replace and in the "Find what box", type the text you wish to
search then select "Find" next to see where the text appears in your file, after that in the
"Replace with box", type the text you want, lastly replace change the or select all to
change all instances of this text in your file.
