Yoongi Sitting Pattern (Long Hair Plaid Version)

Abbreviations:
Note: pattern uses american terms.

Sc = Single crochet
Dc = Double crochet
Tc = triple crochet
Ss = slip stitch
Inc = increase (2 sitches in the same stitch)
Dec = decrease (crochet 2 stitches together)
BLO = back loops only
FLO = front loops only
CC = color change

Head, starting from the top down:

Yarn weight: 4 (in skin color)


Hook size: 3

6 in ring
Round 1: inc in every sc (12)
Round 2: (1 sc, 1 inc,) x6 (18)
Round 3: (2 sc, 1 inc,) x6 (24)
Round 4: (3 sc, 1 inc,) x6 (30)
Round 5: (4 sc, 1 inc,) x6 (36)
Round 6: (5 sc, 1 inc,) x6 (42)

Stuff head

Make a tube coming off the head that will be inserted inside the head to make the channel the
neck will fit into. This tube is made continuing where the head left off and going around in rows
of 12 sc. You should make 9 rows and then sew the tube shut and stick it inside the head.

Body, working from the bum up:

(this makes the neck nub that inserts into the head channel.) Cut yarn and sew shut, insert into
the head. Use a long string to go down through the head, through the neck piece, and back up
through the head and tie together, this will attach the body to the head and allow the doll to turn
its head from left to right.

Legs (Make 2):

Yarn weight: 4 (in black)


Hook size 3

8 sc in a ring

Rounds 1-5q: 8 sc around (8)

Cut yarn, stuff leg and sew onto the body. Make another and do the same, making sure to place
the legs in such a way that he can sit.
T-shirt (made in a panel and sewn up the back):

Yarn weight: 2 (in white)


Hook Size: 2.5

Note: Every Row (excluding the last row) ends with a chain one and turn, this will not be
indicated in the numbers listed at the end of rows

Chain 22

Row 1: 11 sc, 1 inc, 10 sc, (23)


Row 2: 23 sc (23)
Row 3: 6 sc, 1 inc, 9 sc, 1 inc, 6 sc (25)
Row 4: (4 sc, 1 inc,) x5 (30)
Row 5: (9 sc, 1 inc,) x3 (33)

Cut yarn leaving a long tail to sew the shirt up. Now is the time to add any details to the front of
the shirt. Once that's done, you can put the shirt around the doll and sew up the back. You will
also want to sew it on around the neck to keep it in place.

Plaid shirt:

Yarn weight: 2
Hook Size: 2.5

Note: Every Row (excluding the last row) ends with a chain one and turn, this will not be
indicated in the numbers listed at the end of rows. You will also change color every 2 rows
(starting with red and counting the starting chain as the first row) to make a striped shirt, the
vertical lines on the shirt are added on at the end.

Chain 18

Row 1: (5 sc, 1 inc,) x3 (21)

CC now and every 2 rows from here on out.

Row 2: sc 21 (21)
Row 3: (6 sc, 1 inc,) x3 (24)
Row 4: (7 sc, 1 inc,) x3 (27)
Row 5&6: sc 27 (27)
Row 7: (8 sc, 1 inc,) x3 (30)
Row 8-12: 30 sc (30)

Cut yarn and bind off. Use the yarn and a needle to embroider the vertical lines on the shirt.

Sew shirt on around the back of the neck, leaving a bit untacked on each side to form the collar.

Arms (make 2):

Yarn weight: 4
Hook size: 3

Start with yarn in your skin color.

6 in a ring

Rounds 1&2: 6 sc

CC to red (use 2 strands of the red yarn from the plaid shirt)

Round 3: (2 sc, 1 inc,) x2 (8)

CC black (use 2 strands of the black yarn from the plaid shirt)

Rounds 4-10: sc 8 (8) changing the color every two rounds.

Add the vertical lines to the shirt part of the arms.

Stuff the arms lightly.

Cut yarn and sew the arms shut, then sew the arms onto the sides of the body.

Hair base:

Yarn weight: 4 (in black)


Hook size: 3.5

6 in ring
Round 1: inc in every sc (12)
Round 2: (1 sc, 1 inc,) x6 (18
Round 3: (2 sc, 1 inc,) x6 (24)
Round 4: (3 sc, 1 inc,) x6 (30)
Round 5: (4 sc, 1 inc,) x6 (36)

Rounds 9-16: 54 sc (54)

To make the strands of hair at the back of the neck you will stop going in rounds and instead
switch to chaining off the last round of the hair base piece. Continuing from where you stopped
on the hair base sl stitching into the next stitch.

Strand long: chain 6, turn and sl st back into the second chain from the hook, sc 4 down the
chain and then sl st into the next st on the hair base.

Strand med: Do the same again but drop the numbers by 1 (example: chain 5 and only sc 3
down the chain).

Strand short: Do it one more time dropping the numbers by 1 again to make it 4 and 2.

Sl st 7 (this is where his neck will be in between the hair stands)

Repeat 'strand short', then 'strand med', then 'strand long'

Cut the yarn and sew the base hair to the dolls head all the way around.

Note: You can now embroider on the face.

Ears (make 2):

Yarn weight: 4 (in skin color)


Hook size: 3

Chain 4, hdc into second chain from hook, dc in that same stitch, 2 tc in the next stich, 1 dc in
the next stich, 1 hdc in the same stich. Cut string and sew onto the sides of the head.

Sideburns (make 2):

Yarn weight: 4 (in black)


Hook size: 3.5
The sideburns are made by chaining 11 and then turning and sl stiching into the second chain
from hook, sc 9 back down the chain, then cut and sew onto either side of the head in front of
the ears.

Bang pieces (make 2):

Yarn weight: 4 (in black)


Hook size: 3.5

Chain 27, turn and sl st into the second chain from hook and follow the next instructions down
the chain. 4 sc, 1 inc, 4 sc, 1 inc, 2 sc, 2 hdc, 6 dc, 2 hdc, 3 sc. Cut yarn and sew into the doll on
either side of the face, tucking the strand behind the ear.

Hat:

Yarn weight: 2 (in black)


Hook size: 2.5

Chain 70 and join the chain with a single crochet, this is where your rounds will start from.

Round 1-4: 70 sc
Round 5: 70 hdc in FLO
Round 6: In BLO of previous round, (18 dc, 1 dec) x3, 10 dc, (67)
Round 7: (14 dc, 1 dec,) x4, 3 dc, (63)
Round 8: (19 dc, 1 dec,) x3, 1 dc, (60)
Round 9: 60 dc (60)
Round 10: (10 dc, 1 dec,) x4, 8 dc (56)
Round 11: (7 dc, 1 dec,) x6, 1 dc, (50)

Cut the yarn and use it to cinch the hat shut.

Hat patch:
Yarn weight: 2 (in white)
Hook size: 2
Chain 11
Turn and sc into the second chain from hook, Sc 9.
Repeat the second row 5 more times. Sc around the patch to create a clean edge, then sew the
patch onto the front of the hat.

Your little grumpy cat friend is now all ready for kisses and hugs 💜
