GENERAL OBJECTIVES - On completion of medical Surgical Nursing course,


students will be able to

1. Explain the etiology, pathophysiology, manifestations, diagnostic studies,


treatments and complications of common medical and surgical disorders.
2. Perform complete health assessment to establish a data base for providing
quality patient care and integrate the knowledge of anatomy, physiology and
diagnostic tests in the process of data collection

giving comprehensive nursing care to patients.
